So, Moriarty from AICN was on The Screen Savers today, and after taking credit for the production of Anchorman and the theatrical release of Iron Giant, he claims that Kitamura told him at the premiere of Godzilla Final Wars that he would direct a Metal Gear Solid movie in partnership with Kojima.

Judging from the source, it's probably just bullshit to get the G4techTV viewers to go to AICN, but still it'd be cool to see.

Also, the credits for Godzilla: Final Wars will be done by Kyle Cooper of Imaginary Forces, who did the credits for Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3. Film credits of Imaginary Forces include Se7en, Charlie's Angels, Hellboy, and Spider-Man, as well as the pre-cognitive visualizations of Minority Report.
With Kitamura (who directed the cutscenes of Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes), Shinkawa, and Cooper all definitely on board, rumor has it Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima himself may be contributing in some unspecified, perhaps uncredited, capacity.
