Saints Row 2, Saints Row 3, Metro: LL Redux, Darksiders 1+2 out on GOG. SR2 works now

Whilst its great to see them clean this up I just want Volition to go back and do a whole new port themselves with steamworks etc. Probably too much to ask but I love that damn game and want as good a port as you can get.

Saint's Row 3 is probably the most mediocre game I have ever played, but I guess that the current GOG price is a pretty fair price for that.

And it's a pretty nice move to see them get DRM free releases. Hopefully CD Project can tempt more publishers to do this with slightly older games.

I'd like to pull the trigger on SR2. I would just prefer knowing all of the issues are gone. Did anyone here on GAF buy the GOG version? Can you confirm?

Admittedly, I am running on a shitty old system atm (Q6600, 8GB Ram, 750Ti), but even on the lowest settings at 640x480, the frame rate ain't going over 20 FPS.

It looks to me like they did both of those things. It's locked at 30 but the horrible stuttering and slowmo/fastmo glitches are gone.

If it's locked at 30 with no stutter whatsoever and no frame drops on hardware that shouldn't be having them, I may buy this.

One thing that didn't get a mention here (I suppose Saints Row 2 is the more important topic) is how GOG and Nordic handled the Darksiders 2 DLC:

Pro:
-Half-price (40€ to 20€) compared to Steam for same content, and that's without discounts. Currently it's 8€ on GOG

Con:
-You have to buy all of it
-One piece of DLC is missing, namely Maker Armor Set from the "season pass"

If I ever grab the game, I'll certainly do it on GOG because I much prefer this method of handling it.

Does the controller work for SR3 PC? I have tried SR3 and 4 on 4 PC's and the controller didn't work for either game on any of the PC's.

Ive played sr 3 and 4 on pc (steam version) and the 360 controller worked perfectly fine. Even changing promts anytime you wanted to use your keyboard or controller on the fly.

SR3 is a very good port on PC and supports Xinput controllers with no hassle.

SR2 supports the controller at least but at least on the Steam version you'd want to use Gentlemen of the Row to replace the button textures.

Bump for I purchased SR2 and installed it on my laptop (Steam version is installed on my desktop) and was met with the exact same stupid hyper fast everything problem I have with the Steam version. Is there a setting I missed or something?

Tried it on a better system (3570K, 8GB DDR3, 750Ti), now runs at 30 (with drops !?), and still chugs/stutters driving (even running) around, and also when crashing into cars. Speed still isn't right, and driving is horrific.

Still a shoddy as shit port in my opinion :/
