The robot is actually "Mechazawa", which to all but two people in the series is clearly a knowledgeable, stylish student of Cromartie high and not a robot like some might think. Bullies generally are left in disbelief as to how tough his skin is.

Nobody seems to notice him oiling himself on occasion, and Mechazawa readily admits he is terrible with computers.
