I searched this and couldnt find it..it's a couple of days old but the CEO has a new interview out..

Also there are negotiations with LucasArts but I can't get into detail here. Maybe this will be the surprise release of 2005. The game you all wanted but didn't get (except for a fine trailer).

Rumor has it that Bad Brain is attempting to acquire the rights to Sam & Max: Freelance Police. What can you say about that?

No comment (I signed an NDA). All I can say is: yes, we are talking to LucasArts about a game that might involve animals, but that's all folks! I guess we will see what´s happening in March 2005 at the latest. Also check our website for more information about our games.

BuddyChrist posted a very similar article from GameSpot a while, while ago. Those articles might have no info however.

Yeh. And Telltale was just waiting for the Lucasarts license to expire, whereas these guys are apparently trying to go ahead and buy it off Lucasarts.

DFS.

Not sure if I want to see this happen. Somehow, I have the feeling that the game would turn out rather crappy anyway. I'm afraid it would be made with subpar 3D graphics a la Monkey Island 4 and don't get close to the atmosphere of the original. Also, is anyone from the original team even on this project?

I NEED a new Sam & Max! You hear me Lucasarts!?!

heh, back around the time Jedi Knight 2 was in the works, I knew someone from IRC who worked at Lucasarts... helped him slightly with getting things worked out moving here, and so he mentioned coming up to go have lunch at Skywalker Ranch sometime. He said "It'll be cool, just as long as you don't maul George or something..." I told him if I were to go nuts over anyone who worked there, it'd be Steve Purcell. He had no idea who he was so I sent him to some links for Sam and Max comics.

Found out later that Purcell quit just before then. Ah well...

If true...

Fucknabbit...every other month or so, there's an article saying a new S&M game is still coming and it always fizzles out. I won't get my hopes up anymore. >:|
