Arg. :/ Bought it last week at Game Crazy for $18-ish. And even though I've only scratched the surface, dunno what it is yet, but I really prefer Dynasty Warriors to SW so far.

+No fuckin' duels

+Officers don't cheat by rapid-charging their stats right in front of you

+Character modes don't take forever

+better approach to stat raising and abilities

+Tapping the musou button instead of holding it down gives you a temporary stat boost

-Castle Stages
-Even worse, siege stages (two, two, two stages in one, and no healing in-between! Yay!)
-enemies level with you (aggrivating on Hard mode>)
-GODDAMN NINJAS
-Level caps
-Final weapons require extreme patience to get

I love SW+SWXL. SW definitely > DW4 but not DW5. I really dug the characters and storylines in SW though. Castle battles need to go though, seriously.

Samurai Warriors and Transformers are the two most awful games I purchased last year. It was something of a super double whammy IIRC, I traded in my DC shit towards Samurai Warriors, which sucked ass; then I traded that in for Transformers which sucked even more ass.

If Jill is the master of unlocking, I'm the master of Self Ownage.

Although it's no huge loss. It's not like a Dreamcast is worth a shit.

This won't do much good without SWXL tho, but together they are better than DW5. Shame the castle stages do ruin what could be Koei's pinnacle entrant in the legacy.

Level capping = EMBARGO ON!

I could really forgive the complete open pit ass castle stages and other annoyances if I could continually power up my character to insane levels. It makes no sense to impose that sort of restriction on players after the DW series. If a player wants to play your game for hundreds of hours, why discourage them?

Get rid of the dumbass level capping and then - EMBARGO OFF!

Skill cap is removed + lots of new high level feats and level 4 possibilites for old ones. Now thank me.

so....would you recommend this to a first time DW/SW player since i've never tried any of the series before.
