Any of you ever heard of Bolzano Pizza? And how is it?

I'm here for the Wiki Symposium, and we're sitting in the hotel looking at this flyer for this RIDICULOUS deal.

3 XLarge Pizzas w/ 9 Toppings
2 Subs & Spaghetti
12 Breadsticks w/ cheese
20 Wings
20 Nuggets
10 Brownies
6 cokes
8 chicken breast strips

All for $26.99

It's the most insane food deal I've ever seen, on one hand I know it's too good to be true, on the other hand, it's too good to not try out. I've been trying to find some information online about them, if they've caused mass sickness and such, but to no avail. So if anybody has experience with Bolzano Pizza, please let me know.

Never heard of them.

However if you want REALLY good pizza and don't mind a 20-30 min drive to Northern San Diego county, go up to Killer Pizza From Mars in Oceanside.

The only other non-chain pizza place I got to in SD is Giovanni's in Kearny Mesa, although it's good pizza but not in the same league as Killer Pizza From Mars.

Stop hanging out at places I like, ManaByte. The streets will be stained with blood the day we meet face-to-face.

WTF! that is like a food going out of buisness sale.

everything in this kitchen MUST GO! TONIGHT!!! OUR CHEF IS KERRAZZY!!! he just STABBED HIMSELF!

If lotsa people gotsta eat, just go ahead and pull the trigger on that bad boy.

I don't know, it could be reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly bad Pizza.

there are some good kbqq and noodle places in kearny mesa but i'm not too into the pizza here.

whatever you do just stay the fuck away from PF chang's

oh, hey, but you're really close to todai (all you can eat japanese) if you're into that.

I'm from san diego .. never heard of them. Sorry can't be of any more help.

Can't you walk to Ginza, Chili's or Seau's though?

All these locals from San Diego that have never heard of this place is making it sound even more like a low budget horror movie. I would hesitate to dine with Count Bolzano.

What? Killer Pizza From Mars?

There are too many no-name pizza places like the one he mentions in the area, and 99% of them are horrible. For every Dominos, Pizza Hut, Round Table, or Papa Johns in an area here there are between five and ten of these small pizza places that are shit.

I'll be in Oceanside next weekend, so you better steer clear ManaByte! Go to Space Mountain or something!

Yep, go to old town. Theres some good mexican restaurants there.

There's good mexican good almost everywhere. There's a couple good ones in the miramar area, although one guy I used to work with got food poisoning from one about two years ago.

I don't know what he meant by "not food". he said he'd seen it before, and it just doesn't look like something you'd want to injest. He was a heavy set fellow too, so I don't think he'd be the picky type.

Great, so I hear how great Killer Pizza From Mars is AFTER I move... Oh well, I'm still in North County on weekends sometimes.

todai dudes, seriously.

Fuck that place. Do yourself a favor and get some real Japanese food at a place called Kanpai in Chula Vista. You will not regret it. And most ...berto's taco shops will do you right.

where is Kanpai in Chula Vista? I need more specifics!

I havent been to Todai in a long time, ussually when i go for all-you-can-eat-sushi i go to Onami's. I know a cute manager/waitress who works at a sushi placxe on weekends in CV thoughh, so ussually I just end up going there.

i didnt realize so many gaffers were from San Diego. I forgot fart was from there too.

It's on third and oxford? if I'm not mistaken. It's in the shopping center across from the KFC. The best damn sushi and ramen you'll ever have. One of the few Japanese restaurants I know of that actually have Japanese employees.

i'm too far north to go to chula vista with any frequency. afaik the best japanese in the county is tajima in kearny mesa on convoy. they have late night ramen thursday-saturday too (->3am!) and the chef is freaking hilarious. todai is good for buffet, but not if you just want all you can eat sushi. then again, these sushi places that seem to litter the urban sprawl are all a load of bullshit.

I lived in San Diego for the first 12 years of my life. My parents keep talking about a Giovanni's in San Diego as being a great pizza place. I believe we attempted to track it down the last time we were there...
