Sony's marketing seems all over the place, nowdays. GoY is doing good because of GoT and word of mouth. The marketing was horrible, imo.

I'm actually praising it in the case of Saros, if that was not clear. Last big spot at February SoP, opening the September SoP while being marketed around it, TGA, and now this.

I also think Sony no longer sees Housemarque as a niche indie developer. With the investment they've made in the studio over the last few years and what the budget for this probably is, they're going to try and make the most back. We're a long ways from Resogun lol.

Returnal and Saros are low budget AAA so it's normal that Sony pushes its marketing. Besides, having great gameplay and good critical reception, Sony may believe that at some point they transition from niche to moderately popular.
