i always wanted to see a comparison between Satisfactory and Factorio on a mechanical level by someone who played both of them extensively.

Me and the boys used mod's to enable us to play 10 players.
That made the game even BETTER!

10/10 timesink of a game.

Havnt played in a couple years and have promised my self to comeback to it with 1.0

And test how good the VR mod for it works.

This game is on my Wishlist for the longest time but I never pull the trigger because I get the feeling I need to put in like 100 hours to get things going and I can't make that kind of commitment.

Haven't played Satisfactory in a long time, but I think I'll be going back to it. It's a very chill game with a great look to it. The gameplay loop has just the right hook to it. It's on sale right now for $14.99, so I can highly recommend that you check it out at that price.

Happy to check this out again. I still haven't found a way to explain this to friends without it sounding boring, but I've spent hundreds of hours in it.

Anyone hype about tomorrow?

I am overall, but it's also the start of WoW: War Within season 1, so I won't be diving in tomorrow. I'll probably start over again from scratch with my son this weekend. That's going to be... rough. He's in 2nd grade so that's a lot of math for him. Haha.

This is a game that's bounced around in my periphery for a while. I don't really bother with 99% of early access games anymore so it's been chillin' on my wishlist. Will check it out at some point now that it's leaving early access.

May be worth picking up on a sale. They increased the price of the game leading up to 1.0. Was like $10-$15 on the last sale just before the price increase. Overall though at least personally, I've gotten far more play and enjoyment out of this game than most $70 games I've purchased.

I always find these games a bit overwhelming when it presents meaningful upgrades/tools to expand your factory. Not that I'm complaining, I love optimizing stuff etc

I've seen some amazing stuff on YouTube already and I'm pretty hyped about this game

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Enjoyed Factorio a lot, maybe I should give this one a go some time.

Wonder if the console tease means pc controller support soon

On the livestream, the console part was just said that they're working on it and that there was no ETA of this year or next year, but that with it will come with controller support. They're still working on it. A lot of commands to try and map to a controller and changes to UI and menu systems.

I remember they said they tried before and then stopped so I'm hoping controller support at least on PC isn't too far off.

It's so fucking good. Honestly one of the best building/crafting games I've ever played, if not the best, and an absolute master class in QoL features.

Played for a bit over the weekend. I really like what it's doing but fuck I'm quickly feeling overwhelmed. I feel like I need a cohort to deal with managing everything.

It's rough in the beginning, when you haven't unlocked much. And when you do, and start getting a feel for how things work, you realize that you need to tear down what you've built, and redo it more efficiently. It's expected.

Now that I'm in phase 3, I've torn down almost all of my early builds because I've rebuilt them in new areas with better knowledge and materials.

One thing I recently learned that I wish I knew earlier: splitters, mergers, and storage containers can stack. Saves space that way.

Also, there's a great YouTube channel called SpectrumDad that has a lot of good videos for noobs. Check out his video on building a solid biofuel generator grid. That'll keep you up and running until you find coal.

I'm nowhere near an expert, but feel free to ask any questions you might have. If I can help, I will.

The game is fantastic, but it can take over your life if you're not careful. Last night, I dreamt about how to optimize my factory.

Satisfactory reviewed on PC by Travis Northup.

Satisfactory is the best automation game ever made and I seriously can’t recommend it enough. Every moment of the over 130 hours it took to build messy conveyor belt disasters and delightfully efficient factories was engaging, ridiculous, and an absolute blast with friends. Exploring this gorgeous, bespoke world in search of secrets and resources serves as a fantastic change of pace from constructing assembly lines, even when combat doesn’t offer much more than a few generic aliens to shoot at while doing so. It’s a drag thatSatisfactory’s insatiable appetite for electronics also results in regular technical annoyances, but none of them come close to souring this stellar factory builder.
