Quick question: Iz this thing any good for fighting games? I'm thinking about buying an adapter to use this thing in SFAC. If not, then i'll guess hav to wait around for the PS2 Saturn pad.

No, they use digital anyways. It's great for the few games that took advantage of it (STCC and Wipeout 2097 come ot mind). It's still my favorite analog pad.

Analog stick, but yes. The placement and the indentation are much more comfortable to me than the protruding knobs of every other controller out there.

Total suckage, especially considering the Japanese Saturn pad, which was released in the US, replacing the sucky US pad, is much more available (i'm guessing) and it works much better.

The Saturn's 3D Pad is my most treasured gaming possession. Without it, there would be no way to connect to the fun of NiGHTS with intuitiveness and completeness.

Why don't modern pads have their analog sticks recessed?

It honestly is truly uncomfortable holding your thumb out that much like that... a joystick is understandable, you're not grabbing the base and top with one hand... but an analog stick, well... it's like holding a fat uncomfortable pad almost.

Buh? The 3D Saturn pad >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the DC pad. I'm amazed how badly Sega fucked things up in just 2 years.
