Am i the only GAFer who loves this band or do they fall under wannabe boy bands according to the elitists on this forum?

Honestly, for what they are they are pretty good.

It feels bad admitting that I like them, but I can't help it.

- To the Moon and Back
- Universe
- Truly, Madly, Deeply

While they're kinda sappy (especially the third song), I say they're quite a ways away from being labeled amongst the 98 Degrees and O-Towns that are out there.

That wasn't abundantly clear the first time you heard their music? @_@ It's funny, when I saw this topic name I figured it was a MAF thread at first. I bet he likes them.

Out out OUT!

What the hell is up with HAF latley? So far I'm seeing stuff that I felt I only liked, being shown on here.

Anyways, ever since I first heard Truly Madly Deeply I really got into them. I like everything on the first album, however, it's the album from them I like. Though Animal Song and Crash & Burn are fun to listen to. As far as my personal faves, I'd definitely go with to the Moon and Back, Truly Madly Deeply, and it's a toss up out of Santa Montica, Violet, Carry On Dancing, and Tears of Pearls. Overall though, they seem to have some really nice tunes to just sit back and listen to.

Though I must admit, I really think they helped contribute to my walk down the rose-colored path. Seriously, the first time I saw the video was just to see Daniel. :lol

Meier: :lol I wouldn't doubt it.

I like em. I have their 2nd album...been meaning to pick up their 1st album.

They remind me a lot of my favorite band, Erasure. Too bad SG broke up....they could have been the nex gen Erasure.

Add me to the list that didn't know either of the members of Savage Garden was gay.

I enjoyed Savage Garden's songs like I enjoy - lets say - Nelly Furtado songs today. I wouldn't have bought their CD, but I don't mind listening to them on the radio.

My coworker used to CONSTANTLY play their cd in the office. Got everyone hooked on their songs. I still have their Asian tour edition cd somewhere.

I like their uptempo songs more, like I Want You and Animal Song. Although Santa Monica and To the Moon and Back were really good.

That's a shame man...at least on their 2nd CD some of their best songs are not their singles: Lover After Me, Hold Me, Best Thing and so forth....

Go to a used CD store and pick up their CDs if you like their sound.

For some reason I read the title of this thread as "Sausage Garden."

Just thought you all should know that.

What in the fuck? Where did you pull this shit from? They are not gay. And even if they were I wouldn't have a problem with it at all.

As far as the topic goes I'd have to say I'm a fan of their music. Too bad they only stuck together as a group for two albums. I really hate Daren Hayes solo albums as the lyrics suck and his voice is also enhanced and altered all the time through many of the songs.

Insatiable was pretty good.

I absolutely love Savage Garden, I have both their albums, and almost every rare/unreleased track. It sucked that they split, but Darren Hayes solo didn't deviate far from the SG formula, although I like the older tunes more.

They are gay? I didn't know, I heard Darren is married or something.

Anyone notice that Darren Hayes sounds a lot like Michael Jackson sometimes? He does, especially on certain songs.
