I remember watching a trailer for this (not the one I'm linking to) months ago and totally forgot about it. Rottentomatoes has it at something like 65%, which isn't too shabby for a horror flick I think. I'm just glad that for ONCE we're getting what looks like a genuinely horrifying horror movie for halloween instead of the typical cookie-cutter Ring-like tripe.

So I'm excited. Especially since there's a free early showing of it next tuesday somewhere on campus. I'll so be there.

Yeah, I'm really excited too. From some of the reviews I've read on it, it's supposed to be pretty gross. Sounds like my type of movie.

That website is pretty freaky though. It required too much effort so I gave up.

How 'graphic' is the gruesome stuff? I kinda wonder if I'd even be able to sit through it if it were too graphic.

You should be able to handle it. I'm not one to get grossed out, so I might not be the most sensitive judge of nasty stuff, but I don't think that it's that bad. Some might disagree..

There is some very gross stuff in it....compared to other wide releases, but if you go into it expecting that, and if you're not a complete sissy, you should love the film.

I saw it also. It wasnt terrible, but I dont think it was great either. Its a bit better then what you'd expect of a gory horror/thriller type, its C+ maybe a B IMO. Im not a huge fan of the genre either.

I wouldnt say its much more gruesome then some other horror or action movies but with the subject and type of story, and way in which it is filmed it might be somewhat. Where as an action movie gore might be "cool" and a Jason or Freddy type of gory death be "morbidly funny", SAW is disturbing, or so I would think. I wasnt really effected by it.

Id also like to point out that the casting was really good. Even though Im slightly biased because I like Elwes and Glover(which was the reason I decided to even see it) it really is pretty good all around. At least moreso then some other horror movies ive seen.

Looking forward to this since I love Cary Elwes, but I have a hard time with some gruesome stuff (like the intestine scene in The Cell). I can usually take it though.
