It'd be pretty big for Sony if they were actually able to get the PS4 out in all three territories before the end of the year.

XIV to launch with ps4 in january 2014
Is XIV popular in Japan? I have no idea.
EDIT: I think we will be getting 1 japanese launch gme for japanese launch whenever that is and a 30 second trailer of 2 new games coming in 2014, with more details to follow at TGS. This is based from extrapolating their strategy this year and what they *should* do as a business.
First week PS3 physical sales were 184,018. Considering additional PS3 digital sales and PC players, I'd imagine it's doing well.

Nice. Then yes a PS4 date for that could definitely be mentioned here with a quick trailer and followed up at TGS.
Better than the expectation from Square-Enix, the servers can not take that much people.

It's a good thing I haven't been able to get any sleep lately so I can actually watch this tonight no problem. I'm not expecting much since they're probably saving the big guns for TGS, but it'll still be cool to see what they show.
That would be nice, although February has been floating around as well. The closer they can get it out to PS4 launch the better. I highly enjoy playing the game on my PS3 but obviously the performance will be a lot better on the PS4 version.

Yep i am hoping for a early date on PS4 so i can jump in .
I'm gonna be laughing at SE if XIV PS4, LR and FF X/X-2 HD come out in the same month.
Same. The PS3 beta was nice but I didn't feel like I could really stick with it long-term. Framerate and pop in and animation was too severe.

Ya know, Cerny has gone on and on about Knack resembling Crash Bandicoot (gameplay wise) but I just don't see it. Knack looks way more boring and uninspired for it's time compared to the old Crash games you can still have a blast with, assuming you like 3D platformers that is.

If SCEJA still announce that The Last Guardian is on PS3, then I'll feel like...
At this point I don't think it is. The team cited too many technical problems on PS3 and Shuhei Yoshida's comments on the whole situation point to the game having moved to PS4 by now.
I also find that kind of strange. Must get up early tomorrow. I want to see this.
You guys REALLY think that will all the money they spent on this (therefore its already extremely hard for it to become profitable) that they would shell another 5-10 millions to make a PS4 version that will be sold to a very tiny userbase compared to PS3 and therefore making the whole project like 10 times harder to even break even?
Seriously, this will never happen because it simply doesn't make a lick of sense. That's be an extremely bad business decision.

So? Nintendo doesn't own that IP. Square Enix should've taken a path best for their biggest brand, and Wii/Wii U definitely wasn't that.
It should have been on PC and PS3 at launch.

It should have not been an MMO.
From what we know there is no "PS4 version", they had to move the game to PS4 to get it finished (assuming they ever do). PS4 version is the only version.

Sony as a business makes much more fiscal sense than Square Enix nowadays. Besides, XV has a lot more peoples' attention compared to The Last Guardian, unfortunately.
2 AM ET? Well, I don't particularly like my Monday classes anyway. I'm extremely curious as to how Sony will handle the PlayStation brand in relation to the Japanese home console market. Maybe they'll pull a fast one and have PS4 launch in October? This isn't based on anything, but can you imagine?
