Wow, the show has come a long way since the Showtime days. Naturally SciFi had to edit out the nudity from the first episode.

I haven't seen the episode since it originally aired and I completely forgot that they brought back one of the kids from the movie. I really should get around to picking up those DVD sets to watch the first couple seasons again.

I loved the first seasons, but nothing weighs up to the sheer greatness of episodes in later seasons, like Window of Opportunity (S4), Abyss (S6) and Lost City part I and II (S7).

Season 8 has already continued in the UK now. It's still weird seeing O'Neill as a General.

I caught part of this on while flipping through the channels. I thought this show was letterboxed, but this was played in full screen? Did they pan-and-scan it?

The early seasons weren't widescreen.
