Scream 7 | Official Trailer (2026)

Ehhh, the only plot twist I wanna see is that Syndey has killed her daughter and is Ghostface, stalking all her friends in a psychotic break.

I'll also accept a version where, Clue-style, EVERYONE around her is just offing each other while sequentially dressing up as Ghostface, so in the end they "10 little indians" themselves.

Ghostface, as some mortal regular human looney who has of course somehow infiltrated the targeted friend group, is just silly in a film where everyone is, or at least should be, packing heat. The multiple killer trick worked for the first one to explain some of this, but now it's just ridiculous that folks are not doing a mag dump on him right away.

I didn't know they made any Scream movies past 3. But honestly, this doesn't look bad at all.

I've been wanting a horror movie where they use modern technology and tools to fight against the killer, and I dig the idea that they're to use live security cameras.

dude... watch Scream 4. it's the best one after the original. Wes Craven's last movie before he died as well.

5 and 6 are ok... better than 3 (which isn't hard tbh), but 4 was the perfect soft reboot

There are way too many Scream movies considering they're about non-supernatural killers stalking the same person, it just doesn't make any sense that Ghostface would have so many copycats.

Not to mention they've come up with some really dumb shit in the recent movies, like using a gun instead of a knife.

Stab exists. in the Scream universe there are 8 Stab movies, 3 of which are based on real events.
so I don't think it's unreasonable to assume in such a world there would be lots of people who would use the first 3 as an inspiration.

like, whenever there's a school shooting, the amount of school shootings soon after spikes, because people feel emboldened and copy.

and Scream 5 is quite literally a bunch of hardcore Stab fans wanting to make their own movie lol
while the first 4 are all directly related to Sidney, so people imitating Ghostface in those just kinda makes sense imo. it's not like those killers are completely random people targeting a random person.

and it definitely makes more sense than the entire town in Halloween Kills going completely berserk because of 1 dude who, to their knowledge, killed 3 people almost 40 years ago... Michael Myers wouldn't even show up as a blip in the violent crime stats in the US, but he's built up as being the ultimate evil by essentially the entire town in that film 🤣.
so Horror films and logic rarely get along lol

At this point Scream movies are like Terminator movies for me, I'll just keep watching no matter how deep the stupid hole goes.
I sorta agree, my main problem with the franchise is that they sorta killed off the slasher genre but haven't moved on to more 'modern' horror film tropes to invert. Not really sure how they do hauntings, ghosts, demonic clowns, etc, but I'd like to see them try.

And a MEGAN/Scream crossover DEFINITELY needs to happen!

Neve Campbell is 52, Courtney Cox 61, and David Arquette 54.

In the first movie, Cox was the oldest one at 31. The rest of the cast were in their 20s.

I love Scream. Obviously the originals are the best, but none are so bad that I couldn't at least enjoy them and rewatch them.

Looking forward to it.
