Todd with the pinata had me rolling. One of the best episodes of this season.

And for the Heather Graham fans, you must see this:

Agreed on the Google Image Search...but not so much on the episode.

I LOVED the Molly Shannon guest spot, thought it really came together well in the end and was generally touching and funny.

I HATED the way Heather Graham's 1/3 of a season guest spot ended on such an abrupt note. We didn't get a touching goodbye moment for her closest friend, Elliot...we got a touching moment with the star of the show who made out with her like a day before she left. Sure, in the end, I loved the character's arc, but it's like it never finished. In the end, the character was little but a pawn in the Elliot/JD relationship, but that role was not taken until this episode itself.

The episode was funny, touching, and genuinely quite awesome, but I kind of felt let down by how such a guest arc was basically thrown out the window and used in such a menial manner.

Yeah, I'd agree that a spot with Elliot and Molly would have been nice. The show spent a lot of time with their relationship, both professionally and socially, and it didn't really close.

Still, it was a pretty funny episode and well balanced with some poignancy. I think the best thing for the show would have been to hold off on Molly Shannon's guest spot for a different episode and make the entire episode revolve around the departure of Molly (Graham). Spend some time with Elliot and her, and I'm sure something with Dr Cox and her, as they had their fair share of conflicts as well.

I like that the season is generally improving though. I thought the first couple episodes were too slapstick and had no true or lasting character development, but they've been making it work the last couple, and actually having previous episodes have real effect on where new ones begin and end.

I wish Heather Graham was a perm. cast member. Her character was really starting to fit into the show in the last few episodes.

I just wanted to punch Molly Shannon in the face the whole show. I guess that was sort of the point but its ruined this ep for me.

Chili Con Carnage!
Anyone know who the next guest star is?

NM found it

Matthew Perry will direct and star in the November 23rd episode. His father, John Bennet Perry, will play his father.

f.awesome

p.s Zach Braff directed last nights episode, that guy rocks.

That was a really good ep. They've written that type of ep ending before (except the girl was suicidal). Still worked well. I think my favorite one this season is when JD's dad died, still.
