In all this s-video craziness I totally forgot the Framemeister can accept a SCART cable... Those seem easier to find and should produce an even better picture, right? Does it provide audio as well? I have no experience with SCART whatsoever!
Yeah,
The same retro cable place (florida) that sell all those cable sells the scart...you just gotta also get the adapter that switches the EU-to-J21. Those are another $20 (on top of $20 for the cable). Well worth it...if you have a Framemeister you should not be looking at S-Video unless it is a last resort.
I don't know about the Framemeister, but for the XRGB-3, make sure you're using a Japanese RGB SCART cable otherwise you will blow up your SCART port. I guess this won't be an issue with the Framemeister because you are already using an adapter to plug it in, but I really am not sure about it so take it with a grain of salt.
The adapter that comes with the Frammeister is still J-21. He is still going to need the special Scart-J21 adapter that a lot of the retro sites sell specifically for the Framemeister/Mini. Also, the plug is not as fickle as that on the XRGB-3. Plugging in a Euro Scart will not fry it.
