dude. You asked a question on people come into your thread and post long thoughtful posted remarks and your responses so far have been a little bit rude and undeserving of the responses.
I guess that makes me the new MAF.

anyway, I dont think my responses are that rude except for the last one.

I appreciate all thoughts and opinions BTW, so don't cry.

If there's nothing compelling, there's no point to ask other people to justify to you why you should or should not purchase a hardware. The answer to me seems pretty clear to me, and its a big NO. The best strategy right now is wait and see.

Unless you absolutely need to have it by summer, I'd say give it until Christmas or Fall when more software is available and possibly, new promotions are out.

You will most likely a) get a better deal b) have a better experience with your purchase.

I'd definitely wait on buying one. If you managed to withstand the launch hype you're doing yourself a huge favor by playing a wait and see game for all the reasons stated before. The PSP is easily my biggest source of buyer's remorse ever in terms of electronics, i'm 99.9% sure it'll never live up to the expectations i had for it. Shame since it has so much potential heh.

If i didn't already have one and could look at it objectively i'd say the absolute earliest a PSP would be worth looking at will be when GTA comes out late this year, and if GTA isn't your thing, the earliest would be in the spring of 06. That should be about the time we start seeing a few 2nd generation JP PSP games over here.
