The only way I see Punk winning is if he does the Anaconda Vice with a chair wrapped around Taker's head (or some other extreme type of submission involving a weapon), and Taker "passes out" from the pain.
I dont see Taker tapping out to anyone, although if he wants to help build a star, then this is the best time he could chose to do so.
There was a segment on Smackdown about how Long was still on probation and Long's response was something along the lines of him having a big surprise or whatever. So something about the match is definitely going to change. No way Taker is tapping out or passing out to due anything, and it would be silly of them to take the belt off of Punk so soon when he is this over. Punk will walk out with the belt, but something unexpected is definitely going to happen.
Hmm, something unexpected in a title match. What could it be...
With Teddy's announcement, and with Batista's "announcement" forthcoming on this Monday's RAW... I expect Batista is, yet again, jumping brands. While it'll push RAW slightly more tolerable, despite a heel Dave vs. Cena or HHH could be a change of pace from their current clusterfuck, a heel Batista on Smackdown would be even better. CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler can't do it alone.
Perhaps Punk takes a feud with Matt Hardy (how awesome would it be if Lita came to the ring with Punk?) and Taker and Batista go at it again with Batista being a heel this go-around, instead of face vs. face.
*note to Wrassle-GAF, I hate Dave, but this is making too much sense.
All this talk about Taker never being submitted is puzzling to me. Didn't American Bad Ass Taker tap to Kurt Angle during Angle's megapush or am I tripping?
I actually don't want Cena to win tomorrow. I guess the argument you can provide is: "well, after Cena and HHH and Batista, who else is left to face against Orton?"
Gee, I don't know. Look at what Smackdown is doing. Punk is getting pushed. Ziggler and Morrison are getting pushed. Smackdown is starting to have a solid mid card. ECW is doing great with what it has.
What RAW can do is level up somebody from the mid card. Shit, give Kofi a shot since he's the U.S. Champion. Let him talk in the mic, he already connects with the crowd in regards to what he does in the ring, so a little extra wouldn't be so bad.
There's also MVP as well. Though he is a hundred times better as a heel than face.

Punk has 0 chance of winning tomorrow. Unless they think of a way to make Taker look less of a pussy by submitting. Plus this sets up the rematch clause for hell in a cell. Or punk wins and jobs to batista next month =/

WWE have such an easy win with Punk.
Leave the belt on him for a couple of months and his place as the top heel in the mind of the audience is guaranteed.
I am still going with an extreme submission hold and a passout from taker
I remember they did this with a
Chris Benoit
/ Jericho submission match a good few years back, with Jericho passing out from the Cripple Crossface. It made the Crossface look devastating, and Jericho look hardcore for refusing to tapout.
Taker does not need to win a belt ever again though, it would not help him in any way... so it would be silly to take it away from Punk. Punk still needs it as part of his character.
I would be happy with a title run for Taker sometime (even have him retire with the belt)... but not now please... Smackdown is to good to ruin right now :/

they're gonna make Taker pass out (JR - Bah GAWD, TAKER got ROBBED) by making someone interfere.
Then who ever interferes, feuds with taker for awhile and then gets buried, while undertaker goes back to vacation and gets ready to bury someone else at WM
Taker is a legend, taping out its not going to 'damage' his 'overness' with the fans.
I think that the WWE knows this and its going to let Punk win this one.
That said, its funny how two of the best 'new' talent is out of another PPV. (Morrison and Mr Ziggles)
Nah, normally they wait 2 or 3 PPV till they give him back the title. And they will give him the title back til he goes on vacation again, it's kinda like the sonic cycle.
But clearly you can't have a face cleanly beat a heel without him losing all momentum... it's not like Ziggler just barely lost to Rey at the previous two PPVs and Rey just lost to Morrison.
I think Punk's going to get a dirty win here, it's got to be him vs Taker at HiaC and I don't see him dropping the title so soon. Besides the feud's only just got started, there's still so much for Punk to call Taker out on...
Not sure if this was posted but this regards the Punk/Taker match so I'll spoiler tag it just in case.
It was reported earlier this week that WWE's original plan for Undertaker vs. CM Punk at tomorrow night's Breaking Point pay-per-view was a Taker victory. Internally, many feel the time isn't right for Undertaker to beat Punk, but the idea of a clean submission win for the champion was not believed to be under serious consideration.

Yeah, CM Punk is on the rise (If he keeps his heel persona he can be huge) Taker is a legend who doesnt need more titles.
Go Punk! clap clap clapclapclap.
im all for ignoring the sillyness of wrestling and just enjoying it but i just cant get behind a submission ppv when the submissions are so painfully fake in wrestling, i know the whole thing is fake but at least the moves hurt.. when you are pretending to put someone in a submission that would make a big man tap out in 3 seconds in real life and they have them crawl to the ropes it just makes me cringe.

Even though the Sharpshooter is a silly submission, it can look awesome if done right. Then you have HBK, The Rock, and Sting doing it and they look like damn fools.

False info spread by WWE to make us think they wont let Punk go over, somehow.
The reason the Ziggler/Morrison match wont be on the PPV is because it would have to have a non-finish of some kind to protect both wrestlers, who are young and on the rise. A clean defeat for either of them right now could do a lot of damage to their momentum.
For almost the same reason, the Punk/Taker match needs a non finish. Can't kill Punk's title reign, but they don't want the dead man to tap, so the proposed "Dusty" finish is required.
WWE can't have two Smackdown title matches, both end with BS finishes. One screwy finish is tollerable, two in quick succession in matches that people are really excited to see, isn't.
So you take away Ziggler/Morrison and replace it with a match where no one cares if either competitor gets defeated clean. Miz wins the belt, good, Kofi hasn't done anything with it, we'll see where Miz can go. If Kofi wins, great, I hate the Miz.
This is just how I see it going. If they do a clean finish for the Punk/Taker match, I'll be shocked. Whoever wins.
