Eric Bischoff told Prowrestling.net moments ago that Ric Flair has yet to officially sign on to be part of the November "Hulkamania" tour that will take place in Australia. "That would be premature," Bischoff said. "If Terry (Hulk Hogan) and I get an opportunity to work with him we would love it, but it's not wrapped up yet."

Powell's POV: My guess is that it's just a matter of time before Flair officially signs on to be part of the tour and that the various reports regarding him working against Hogan in the main event matches will turn out to be accurate. There are reports that there is a three-year deal on the table for Flair.

The Superstars Matches were:

Some Celtic dude Vs Jamie Noble

Masters vs Santino

Christian Vs Regal for the ECW title

Watch the Christian Regal Match, Regal dropped Christian right on his head

Please tell me he's okay. I could find that out myself but I don't want to get spoiled.

Also, did he get a good reaction ala Edge or Jericho?

Yes he's fine. I think it looked worse then it really was. The ref checked to see if Christian was okay very quickly which made it scarry, but Christian got up fine.

Are you really worried about a spoiler? Do you really think the title is going to change hands on a Superstars taping? Let alone one that takes place before an ECW taping that airs before it.

Jeff Albertson said:
Wait was ECW taped early this week?

No, Superstars is taped before Raw on Mondays, and ECW is taped before Smackdown on Tuesdays.

ECW airs on Wednesdays and Superstars Airs on Sundays.

Does UK get Superstars?

Always seem to miss it
No, Superstars isn't included in Sky's current rights.

The current rights package ends December 31st this year, so who knows what'll happen then. I guess WWE will push for all PPVs on Box Office (that is, assuming Sky still want all the rights, and that WWE don't have a better offer etc.)

WWE would be stupid to go anywhere other than Sky, no other broadcaster would take everything, and then they'd be left with odds and sods like Bottom Line and Afterburn, I mean, who the fuck watches that shit anyway?

Sky is like the UK Equivilant of HBO right?

OOOOOH RADIO TELL ME EVERYTHING YOU KNOW

I am psyched that Zach Ryder won that battle royal last night. He also had a great match with Christian 2 months ago. Wooo Wooo Wooo You know it!!!

So, according to prowrestling.net...

TNA released agents Jim Cornette and B.G. James on Tuesday. It's been rumored for weeks that the company has shown interest in bringing back agents Pat Kenney and D-Lo Brown, but no official announcement has been made on the firings let alone hirings.

So you fire Cornette but yet you don't fire fucking RUSSO?

lol

superstars is actually taped before both. if you notice, superstars still splits the rosters (i.e. smackdown matches and RAW matches). smackdown tapings are ECW->Superstars->Smackdown. At least when they were here a couple months back.

I don't understand all the Cornette love, he was out of date in the 90's let alone now, and at least Russo can claim some credit for the biggest period in wrestling history(worldwide at least). TNA needs to attract people who wouldn't call themselves wrestling fans & there is no way Cornette would be any use for that.

- WWE sent out the following press release today:

WWE®'s Linda McMahon Resigns to Run for U.S. Senate

World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. today announced that Linda McMahon has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer after announcing her candidacy for the United States Senate, representing the state of Connecticut. Vince McMahon assumes the duties of Chief Executive Officer in addition to his current position as WWE® Chairman. McMahon will be supported by the seasoned executive management team already in place and led by Chief Operating Officer and board member, Donna Goldsmith.

So i guess this means that PG-WWE isn't going anywhere for a while, not whilst Linda is making this bid for Senate. And if she gets in, it will probably be here to stay forever.

Cornette wanting nothing to do with booking. He didn't want it, he wanted to remain as an on-air talent..

Besides, as smart as Conry is... he's kinda stuck in the Smoky Mountain days.

Good news guys:

Khali needs knee surgery and an injury angle was done on Smackdown yesterday to write him off
The fact it took that to get them to drop that stupid story is amazing, and sad.

Heyman/someone unknown is the only option, why would TNA hire someone that put ROH in such trouble?(I know he built them up to where they were)
Gabe didn't really have much to do with ROH getting "in such trouble."

The combination of Cary Silkin's bad business deals, Adam Pearce's mediocre booking, and the declining talent roster has ultimately sunk ROH.

It's no secret that things have gone downhill in ROH since Gabe was fired.

Smackdown spoilers:

Batista opened the show with a segment. Lead to Jericho coming out and receiving a spinebuster.

Scott Armstrong said he was told before-hand how the Submission match at Breaking Point was going to end. Vince McMahon told Teddy Long to apologize to the fans. This lead to a brief apology in the ring. Upon leaving ringside, Long was locked in his limo and driven away with Undertaker as the driver.

WWE Intercontinental champ John Morrison defeated Mike Knox.

Melina pinned WWE Women's champion Michelle McCool in a non-title match.

CM Punk had an in-ring segment. Same stuff he says every week about being straight edge.

Hart Dynasty defeated Cryme Time.

Kane vs. Great Khali ended by DQ when Kane hit Khali with a chair. He then used the steel ringsteps on Khali's leg about five times. Khali did a stretcher job during the break.

Drew McIntyre beat up Charlie Haas, who was waiting for his opponent in the ring.

Batista defeated Chris Jericho after a Batista bomb.

The dark match main event was CM Punk vs. Undertaker ending in a no contest when Punk brought a chair into the ring, but Undertaker used it. Afterwards, he hit Punk with a chokeslam and two Tombstones.

My thoughts on the spoilers:

lol at the mark that wrote those. "CM Punk said the same stuff he says every week about being straight edge." Like Punk has cut the same promo for months or something.

They left it kind of open on who Punk will be feuding with since apparently there was no interaction between Punk and Taker outside of the dark match. Here is hoping they build a new star instead of handing the belt over to a part timer that was old 10 years ago.

Why is Morrison not facing Ziggler? No Punk match. Batista already in the main event. Yeah, doesn't sound like a good Smackdown

Gabe just got burnt out. Thats perfectly normal for a booker, especially one who had been booking for 6 years. After having time off and a new roster to work with Gabe would be back to being a great booker I'm sure. Heyman would still be my first choice though.

His booking left them with few "stars" aside from the ones WWE have just taken, he left them with no real way to grow(except internationally which they can't really afford to do) Oh well Heyman did the same & is much loved(at least Heyman did something new)

But dude.

Russo is still there.

...

RUSSO. RUSSO!!!

Dude, TNA is actually getting better lately. Even with Russo booking. But new ideas have to come and I'm damn sure he has none! Watching iMPACT gives me a headache at times because things are going through so fast... and that's all because of Russo who swears his entire audience has ADD or something. =/

about smackdown spoilers:

TBH, Punk has been cutting the same promo for awhile now. Was hoping he would transition to something else while still using the straight-edge hook.

So where does everyone see the ECW title storyline going?

Ryder is nothing more than filler surely and Regals Ruthless Roundtable will have nothing to do away from the title scene, I imagine a month of Zeke and Kozlov squashing bitches until one of them or Regal gets a title shot.

I hope Burchill moves onto another decent feud after his Hurricane one, him and Shelton could put on good matches.

Tiffany came out yesterday for the opening segment. She's shown mostly backstage though when she's in the show.

I think Ryder and Christian will have a lengthy feud, similar to what Mysterio and Ziggler were supposed to have until Mysterio fucked shit up. I honestly think Ryder loses the first two times, but in close fashion, but then the final time he wins the ECW Championship. He could feud with Yoshitatsu, the same guy who beat him last night. Or Goldust. Or Shelton Benjamin. Or Tommy Dreamer. Lots of possibilities for the guy and that's just scratching the surface!

I see Burchill moving on to Shelton as well, and Hurricane fights the new talent like Yoshi and Tyler Reks, and Sheamus...

I'm about to blow your mind here... but the terrible booking ideas were the fault of Mantel/Jarrett.... and not Russo.

He's had the book before in TNA. Not neccessairily now but before he's had power. There is a need for new ideas and I know Russo is not going to prove them. He needs to be the last firing before finally TNA could pick up the scraps and get serious with their creative staff.

Tiffany rarely shows up, but even when she does, she's awful. Her acting is brutal.

On Smackdown:

I hope they don't push Undertaker and Big Dave over CM Punk and others so quickly and derail the great WRESTLING show.

I know they will miss Rey a month, and until Edge returns, but there's still tons of talent on the show. Use it wisely, Hayes!

Who cares? Shes good at what she's supposed to do and thats looking stunningly beautiful. The same with the Divas: Who cares if they can't wrestle or act? I agree though that they should limit their matchtime. Don't wanna see a 20 minute title match full of botches and screaming..
