I am a huge huge fan of the first two games.. most entertaining FPSs to date since Doom and Quake 1 imo.. so, how good is the sequel? Should I order it right away?

Holy crap? IGN gave it a, let's see, 8.5.

Gamespy has poor taste.. if it's anything like SS1 then it's an insta purchase for me

What? Are you crazy?

SS is all about huge open door areas with metric buttloads of enemies popping without mercy from satan's funhole. SS2 demo displayed smaller zones with little space to move and fewer enemies, most of them coming in "small" waves.

It is pretty clear that Croteam is trying to sell an engine instead of creating a game.

How does it compares the full game against the demo?

Serious Sam without the tons of enemies? It's like doom 3 all over again :/

My killcount by the end of the 10 minute or so demo level was over 300. I'd hardly call the enemy count low.

Not the count but the way the game throws them at you. In SS you were fighting floods of enemies, in SS2 you fight continuous small assaults of them.

What a joke. Got the game, got home, installed, configured. Ok, time to play coop with friends. Hit multiplayer - Download patch? Ok, get the patch. Install patch. Game no longer recognizes cd in drive.

I hate pc games
