Seriously, screw gliding in Transformers.

Stuck on the last level, Pacific Island. First area. All the enemies defeated, I see where I need to glide, but I can't make it. I'd like to think I'm not jumping off from the right point, but there's no way to get any higher. Stupid, stupid gliding.

God damnit. Always crashing into the cliff, or I pull up too much and bottom out. Any helpful advice would be much appreciated.

Don't make yourself nuts. You get a jet booster for it later in the game. You have to come back to some of the earlier levels later with it.

Try gliding from the first island, behind where you start. That way you can get to the savepoint easily. From there you can't really miss it.

You have to return later for the really far-away minicon though.

Oh man, do I feel dumb. Turns out I've been holding down L1 while I glide, thinking that it keeps my wings out. After extending the wings, however, L1 becomes your airbrake. No wonder I was having problems gliding. After learning this, I made it on my first try.

I'm sorry Transformers, I love you.

It's worth noting that I've been stuck at that point since May 9th, 2004.

It's a pretty good game. Don't expect an AAA title.. but it is a solid B.
What makes it good IMO is transforming, minicons, atmosphere, music plus all the extras you can unlock.

:lol

That'd be terrific watching someone trying to drive his car down the street while holding down the brake at the same time. Especially if you could see him screaming at his car inside.

I just saw Transformers in the store the other day and was thinking about picking it up. Is the game any good?
It's a tad difficult, but I dig it. Good use of the license.

My only real beef is the Wind Waker-style Minicon hunt you have to undergo before the last boss, but that only takes about an hour or so.

:lol I don't feel so bad now for not being able to help you out the last time you were complaining about this.
