There's a lot of Japanese sites listing a Shadow Hearts 2 Directors Cut low budget "The Best" release. Including blogs of Japanese retail store people (http://halki.jugem.cc/?eid=137) and even Play-asia (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-43-77-1-15-shadow+hearts-70-gu8.html)

If true, the team is adding a good amount of features for SH2 fans and here's a translation of them all:

March/10, 3129 YEN (tax included)

New areas
- Nahashu Temple and Sea of Woods

Changed area
- Underground Ruin of Neam

New Event scene where you can play as the Enemy party

Added new items and monsters.

New monster that is stronger than the last boss.

New sub-events.

One of the event scene is now CG than real time 3D.

Judgement is radically resized (are they just making it larger to see?)

Special video included (this could either be the special movie that was in the LE with FMV made just for this 5 min music video....or it could be a teaser for their next game

Anyhow seems like a great deal for fans and it looks like I'll be replaying my favorite RPG of last year again

shame that the US gets screwed as usual, but it's not like they could have gotten this material, most likely, if it's not even out in japan yet.

Konami? The game is going to be released by Midway and a few weeks ago I read on gamefaqs that the game was already done and was only waiting to be released.

Konami is Midway's european publishing partner, Midway doesn't have a european headquarter. Check Konami's site - http://uk.gs.konami-europe.com/ , you'll find Mortal Kombat: Deception and other Midway stuff there.

The actual source of the information is a fax from Azure themselves to game stores apparently for solicitation of the game. The information first appeared on a blog run by a Japanese game store owner and subsequently spread to other blogs, to 2ch and to taiwan and HK message boards.

Well, I know that. As seen from the quoted text in neo2046's forum (his post on 7th of January in the linked thread, "Aruze fax" was mentioned).

And, BTW, from knocklehead in GameFAQs (who is from Midway taking care of Shadow Hearts Covenant), he had mentioned that Aruze has some new stuffs added to SH II but Midway don't have the time to incorporate them quite a while ago.
