I'd imagine most of the things that would clean sharpie marks off would likely damage the plastic in front of the LCD. Maybe a little bit of really diluted bleach would do the trick, but try to test it on some sort of similar substance first.

Isopropal alcohol works but the longer you let the market sit the harder it will be to get it completely out.

Ethel alcohol will also work but it may not work as well since its not as strong.

Yellow dry erase marker will break up the sharpie markings. Then, just wipe it away with a cloth.

Yeah, a trick my professor showed me was to use a normal dry erase marker and directly draw over the sharpie or permanent marker markings. Then use a whiteboard eraser and it will come off Pretty neat eh?

Alcohol worked awesome. Three year old had a toy bin taken away for a week and isn't allowed to color or draw for a week. Since he's three he won't really grasp it, but it makes Sarah feel better.
