Shaun of the Dead cost around 4 Million.

It's already made over $5 Million world-wide.

Expect it to place around #8 for weekend totals and not drop off to terribly next week.

And a new Wright/Pegg/Frost film is most certainly happening.

I was responding to Willco, just took a while to get it out.

I just don't think a director with an immediate stake in how a film is perceived financially is the first person I'd believe when making claims that benefit that perception. It's not like the masses can call him out on it, and it's not like the studio would have any desire to confirm or deny any of it in public.

I'm just too cynical and I've seen so much deception (ie. Paul WS Anderson's constant excuses) to just believe it when Conran says that the film was much cheaper than all other sources have reported.
