All we want is a new Crysis like the original game in ambition etc. So, selling the IP would be a better option than not getting Crysis 4 at all from Crytek!
Also many of crytek devs left to work with CIG.
and are very familiar with the game engine.

Selling the Crysis IP to Cloud Imperium Games (CIG), makers of Squadron 42, could be a strategic move with potential benefits for both parties. Here’s how it could be positioned:
Crysis and Squadron 42 share similar thematic and gameplay elements, with a focus on cutting-edge graphics, large open-world environments, and intense combat mechanics. Here’s how acquiring Crysis could benefit Cloud Imperium Games:
1. Brand Synergy & Narrative Integration:
Crysis’ established world, with its advanced tech, alien invasion storyline, and military backdrop, could seamlessly fit into the Squadron 42 universe.
Both franchises involve high-tech warfare and futuristic settings, making it easier to integrate the narrative and the technology concepts
2. Expanded Gameplay Mechanics:
Crysis pioneered innovative gameplay mechanics like nanosuit abilities, which would enhance Squadron 42’s immersive experience with new suit upgrades and combat techniques.
3. Visual & Technical Innovation:
Crysis is known for its stunning graphical fidelity. CIG could leverage this legacy to push visual quality even further in Crysis 4 (PC), potentially creating more dynamic environments, destructible settings, and advanced AI behavior, taking advantage of CIG's CryEngine expertise (previously used in Crysis).
4. Dedicated Fan Base & Cross-Promotion:
The Crysis series has a dedicated following who appreciate its technical prowess and immersive worlds. Bringing these fans into the Star Citizen ecosystem could bolster community growth and engagement.
Cross-promotions between Crysis and Squadron 42 could invigorate marketing efforts, creating buzz among both fanbases and boosting both franchises’ visibility.
5. Potential for Future Titles:
Crysis could be revived through spin-offs, remakes, or sequels opening up opportunities for CIG to expand their portfolio. A new Crysis game, based on the established foundation, could be a natural fit for their expansive ambitions in the gaming market.
By acquiring Crysis, Cloud Imperium Games would not only secure a well-respected legacy of gaming innovation but also strengthen their position in creating one of the most technically advanced and immersive game universes.

"We are shooting for the stars both virtually and technology wise. For me this game is about pushing boundaries on all levels and is something that I hope is still breathing strong 10 years from now. Instead of Crysis benchmarks when they test a new GPU I want to see Star Citizen!"
