Fallout indeed. But I wonder about the method of entry. No doors or seams, no nothing. I would imagine You climb into it through a hatch under the car, which would make it rather practical indeed
Also, no boot for luggage, unless the entire top of the car lifts.

There was a contest recently where all the big auto makers designed a car that would be able to drive around the world in a race. The image you quoted is only one of three modes that the Mazda car had. It also had a boat mode and a jet mode. Specifics for the race were something like, "You have to be on wheels in America, in the air through Europe, etc". The thing looks fucking siiiick.
