It looks pretty good. Bloober has a talent for creating dark, oppressive atmospheres which should work well for this game. Not so much character animations and such so hopefully those have improved. I'm not too worried about combat, since SH combat shouldn't be fluid and polished anyway.

The Medium is completely fine. It was just on Xbox first so its shit. Its a AA horror game with dual dimensions, a post-communist / Poland setting thats interesting, Yamaoka OST and Troy Baker doing really solid villain voice work. A solid 7 or 8 for horror game fans. Really no obvious flaws in the game, just AA budget.

Never played The Medium, but Blair Witch was pretty good. Agreed that people seem to be jumping to conclusions especially when I distinctly remember lots of people on this forum defending The Medium well before this announcement, so this sudden shift to "they'll 100% fuck it up" seems fishy.

Their entire catalog is just a bunch of incredibly mediocre horror walking sims which is why people are down on them. Maybe Konami will help them make a good video game for a change? Similar to what Nintendo did with MercurySteam and Metroid. I'm not holding my breath though. I expect another mediocre game from Bloober, only this time one that gets propped up by the Silent Hill name.

And Bloober making it gives me very little hope.

Blair Witch had basic combat iirc. You'd aim your camera at ghosts or something to make them go away. It was really shit.
