This mod is for the GOG version of Silent Hill 4.
F1 key opens the mod menu. Open it only while you're ingame, not during menus or cutscenes, otherwise there's a chance the game will softlock. I've included two presets for the camera, but you can customize it any way you want.

Any errors, crashes or softlocks you find, let me know. And expect some updates later, along with the source code. To install, just drag and drop the content of this file on your root SH4 folder, and replace the original d3d8.dll file.

I just enjoyed the isolation aspect of being in your apartment, trapped while weird stuff is going on, and looking out your windows or door peephole observing the world as life goes by. Only game I ever played to make me feel that deep sense of solitude and exile. Shame about the combat and otherwise weird story, which even by Silent Hill standards were too poor for me to ever make it through to the end. I'm not sure how much a camera mod would alleviate those problems for me to make another playthrough but at least it's cool to see people working on this. Maybe someday it'll get a similar treatment as the enhanced edition.
