Just read up on this as I don't think I've heard of it before. Colour me interested

Seems like it could have some chops to it.

I guess it will be shown at the February State of Play, since Sony has a large marketing (and sometimes even exclusivity) agreement regarding the overall revival of the Silent Hill series.

According to early internal documents, f was supposed to come out last year, so it is no surprise that it's release is somewhat near.

This is going to be absolute shit. It looks crap and nothing like Silent Hill.

When a game is written by someone using their gameFAQs username, you know you're fucked. "but but but he is the creator of the When They Cry visual novel series, which includes Ciconia When They Cry - Phase 1: For You, the Replaceable Ones" does it look like I give a fuck about some shit ass JPEG on the screen 'visual novel'? Silent Hill fans are desperate as fuck, they'll take any fat woman because they've been neglected for so long.

Have some standards, fuck this game off. What's next? Perhaps we can have the Mystery Machine roll up in Silent Hill and get Scooby fucken Doo to investigate the character's missing daughter.

And I know what I'm talking about because I was there day one in support when Bloober were announced - because I knew they were going to be the best.

Looks like we have to wait for Bloober's next remake!

Don't really know what to expect from this. Even as a Silent Hill fan, I'm not really feeling anything for it except hopeful.

I don't have a PS5 so never played The Message, but the constant pop up warning about the "themes" were cringe as fuck. Imagine making a horror game but treating your audience like children.

Not sure what team made that game but I think it's different teams for the 4 games? Another team did that Ascension "game", too, and that was like microtransaction the TV show, with a story written by A.I

Bloober did a world-class job in remaking Silent Hill 2, though, so I'm not ruling out either of the remaining games.

Really want to know more about Silent Hill f and Silent Hill Townfall, so maybe as others mentioned it might happen at the next PlayStation event or Konami might have a special event after it again

Good news,I'm interested in a whole new story instead of remake galore.
How did team silent manage 3 unique stories with 2,3 and 4 on ps2 and we haven't had one apart from short message and P.T (both demo) for a full ps4 cycle and over half of a ps5 cycle.

Further I get from the game the better it becomes in my memory. Currently I'm thinking it was probably my goty last year. I don't think it's a game I'll ever forget. Absolutely thought provoking game with really well done everything.

This game is not out yet, how did you play it?

Man, I'm not even sure if I should be excited or not. The CG trailer was fantastic, but they really need to build a hype cycle with a few gameplay trailers and previews before release.

I did go through this breakdown recently, but that's all we got!

I remember about a year (or even a year and a half) before The Short Messege released the same news came about it that it got rating in South Korea. So probably the release is not quiet near, but close

I watched the video way back when. An interesting premise, striking art direction, and an original mechanics/systems hooks are the bare minimum a game needs to generate hype.

so far this game has two (assuming the breakdown gets it right), the visuals are cool and fresh. I think the video proposes/ implies, or at least suggests some interesting mechanics too

but I don't think we know who is developing this game right?

Damn, my bad, thought this thread was referencing SH2 being released in south korea.

On topic, my SH love has been renewed lately so I'm definitely in for any other games they want to sell me.

Seems to me that they have worked behind the scenes on many popular games. Perhaps the creative leadership is all within Konami, similar to how SH2 remake was done. Details are sparse, like everything outside of that CG trailer.

Why the pessimism? Isn't this the only AAA Silent Hill game currently made by Konami's Japanese developers and not a western branch and/or developer?

What am I missing?

It is made by Neobards, the Taiwanese development studio known for the multiplayer modes of RE3 and RE Village, the next-gen versions of RE7, RE2 and RE3, and the recently released Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster; but the creative vision seems to come from a very select bunch of Japanese creators acting on a freelance capacity, most notably writer Ryukishi07, of Umineko fame.
