Haven't watched this in a little while. Regretably missed the season's opener. However, I did catch it tonight and...it was the dumbest episode I've ever seen. I'm not sure there was a clever moment in the whole thing and what I remember about the show was that it was capable of being both smart and comedic. If not strangely poignant.
Tonight was like a Melrose place episode where they were allowed to be slightly more graphic because it's on HBO. Maybe it's been drifting that way for awhile but it was quite dissapointing. I'm no prude to be sure, but I've always felt that their better dramas were able to include sex/violence without it being gratutious, or an excuse for poor writing.
Booooooo.
