Hey, so! A note about cross-play. Or even just PS3 to PS3 play...
SCEJ's testing dept. schedule was full up, and unfortunately and we weren't able to get the JP patch approved in time for the 2nd Encore launch. Their FQA dept. doesn't work weekends, which just means they have a lot fewer testing days than their US and EU counterparts.
This means you should not play against Japanese players if you can avoid it, because it'll likely cause issues for one or both of you. Probably a crash.
We're going to ask Japanese players to try and quarantine themselves until the patch is out, but please keep an eye out for this.

It's a different style of execution, SF has typically shorter combos with reliance on timing based links. Skullgirls has "easy" combos in the sense that you can seemlessly chain multiple hits together going from light to medium to heavy but the combos themselves will go on longer than most. I'd say Skullgirls is much more lenient on the execution front as a whole thanks to a simplifying of inputs (no half circles or double motion specials) and some really savvy things like the game sensing when you want to do something like a 360 motion and keeping you grounded in that instance.
On the online front it's better than ASW fighters. Skullgirls pretty much sets the bar for online in a fighting game.

I cant seem to find this on the PSN store on PS4 anymore. It was up pre-midnight and wouldnt let me pre-order it. Now its just not there.

Yeah no, I had the link up of the PS4 version on the web page and that seems to have gone missing as well. The shift from preorder to the regular game perhaps?
