Skyrim SE vs Anniversary edition for PS5?

So I want to replay Skyrim. Last time I did was launch on the 360.

I plan on playing on the PS5.

So there are 2 options. The Se version and anniversary edition. I read through the details on both, and there's no clear choice for me.

SE right now is free with ps plus. Anniversary edition is on sale for 25 bucks.
Im ok with 25 bucks if it's really worth it.

I'm mostly concerned if the ae version has better graphics? Or is it the same?

And also I plan on modding the shit out of the game. I heard ae might have some problems there?

Thanks guys.

Isn't the anniversary edition just the special edition plus the additional creator's club content? You're gonna get the graphics upgrades with the special edition. If all you're interested in is the base game just stick with that. If you want the expanded content you'll need to upgrade to anniversary edition.

The anniversary edition is the same as the Special Edition but comes with all the Creation Club items. Which is a lot of content.

The AE offers more Creation Club mods - several player homes, for example. The SE version received the same graphical upgrades and some Creation Club mods when the AE released. Personally, I haven't upgraded because I don't see those mods as being worth it (plus I don't want to pay for mods).

You can't install any mods on console versions (unless you are able to hack them but that's a whole different world)

If you want to mod, play the PC version

The Anniversary Edition is the same as SE but adds about 70 Creators Club mods. Most are fairly minor like additional armor sets but there's a few things like fishing thrown in too

Mods have been on consoles for Skyrim for quite a while now. There's less choice on PS due to Sony's policies, but they do exist.

This.
It comes with a shit load of extra stuff that's lore friendly.
I played through again last year and went with anniversary edition.

This. And as a Skyrim lover who only plays on console, don't listen to the haters, OP. You can still get some very cool mods that make the game look better.

I know it's not what you want to hear but go play it on PC.
Yup, when i think "mod the shit out of it"

The ps5 version is the least popular thing to come to mind (has less mods than the xbox version)

well thats exactly why, only has a fraction of what you can do on pc (and even xbox to a lesser degree)

Creator's club content is notably bad, it's lower of the pack amateur mods compared to what the Nexus has to offer. The junk it adds breaks the game balance and artistic integrity, and I wouldn't use them for a first playthrough.
