HEY GUYS LOOK THIS GUY'S A BIG PHONY! A BIG, FAT PHONY!
Oh but I did. I will admit I made an awful typo and wrote Island's Island instead of Yoshi's Island though.

The bow is accurate, but it's only use if for interrupting characters trying to recover. It's too slow to be used in melee combat, and too weak to use to pick people off from outside battle. You're better off tossing bombs in.

Bombs are not at all useless, and I don't understand what people are talking about changing that move for. I'm all for making bombs his standard B attack, and making his down + B the spinner. Not sure how useful it would be, that really depends on what it does. Might make a decent secondary recovery move.
I disagree, I love using the bow in mid air as I'm moving around the stage, or using it from the other side of the stage to pick off people who are running away or hiding. It has a larger range and deals more damage than bombs.
Just using the bow quickly as someone is about to smash attack you can disrupt them.

I don't understand why people want the Spinner in SSBB, it'd be fine as an item, but as one of Link's moves, it'd be awful - it's not even an item commonly associated with Link.

I'd like it if they introduced some of the game modes. That was one area Melee really improved upon the original, and I bet Brawl will improve even further.
Who actually plays the other modes beside Stock and Time?

My Favourite Levels from Melee:
- Mario Peach's Castle
- DK Kongo Jungle
- Zelda Hyrule Temple
- Kirby Fountain of Dreams
- Metroid Brinstar (I love the look and it's decent to fight on)
- StarFox Corneria
- StarFox Venom
- F-Zero Mute City
- Earthbound Fourside
- Battlefield
- Final Destination (My favourite stage of all)

Idiots

Yoshi's Story
Fountain of Dreams
Pokemon Stadium
Onett
Final Destination (of course)
Rainbow Cruise
Green Greens (crazy things always happen on this stage :lol)

I would say Kongo Jungle (N64), but I ****ing HATE the barrel.
I would say Battlefield, but I ****ing HATE getting "battlefielded" by the edges
I would say Dream Land (N64), but I ****ing HATE THE TREE GOD DAMN STUPID SHITTY TREE.

Don't tell me stock is a top tier game mode. Time > Stock.

I really hope they bring back the totally claustrophobic level (peaches castle i think) from SSB64. That was pure comedy.

Well, stock is the only mode used in competitions...

I find that, with time mode, you just get a ton of stalling. :/

In stock, stalling is a mindgame, but in time-mode, you get a stock, you stall... It gets really stupid if you're playing competitively.

Even before I played competitively, I always played stock. ALWAYS.

For some reason I've always liked the Star Fox stage in Melee and the N64 game. Don't know why, just always did. :D
Which one in Melee? There's two, you know :D

(I assume you mean Corneria and not Venom)

Uh, shadows are gone again. :lol

I don't get it.

hmm, you stand on the ship. Every once in a while some star fox ships come by and try to shoot you. If you fall off of the front, you could get shot by the ship you were fighting on top of. :D

Hey guys... MAYBE, just maybe, shadows show up depending on the lighting conditions in the game. :o

That, or they turn them off for whatever reason. Happens a lot in the beta phases of MMORPGs, so I don't see why it wouldn't here.

I hope so. It's just wierd how some pics have shadows and some don't. The game certainly looks better with them.

I can't believe people are still asking/complaining about shadows when it has been adressed a thousand times.

Love the new stage, of course, and does Link's sword has a nice, Master Swordy-glow now? :D

EDIT: Oh, and, and...Final Destination, Hyrule Temple, Pokémon Stadium and Earthbound's main town just for the music. :)

LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME.

Is the glass always half empty for you? Seriously, I don't think I've ever read a positive post from you.

Anyway, everything I've seen from this game looks incredible. In my case it is easily the number one reason to buy a Wii. The music, character models, stages, and even items all look a lot better/more interesting than they did in Melee. I will be forced to buy or steal a Wii when this game finally comes out, especially if its online.

That stage brings memories of when you had to take down Metal Mario in smash Bros 64. Only there's not a crapload of screenspace stopping you from recovering. Looks like a balanced, run-of-the-mill stage, with cool effects.

Have we seen any really elaborate stages yet? I know the hardcore players seem to like the simple stages best so they can concentrate on the fighting, but I like scrambling around the scenery and obstacles.

I really hope a non-nerfed Marth makes its way into the game.

Favorite SSBM stages for those who asked:
-Termina Bay
-Big Blue (with alt. MACH RIDER music!!!)
-Yoshi's Story stage
-Kongo Jungle stage

Oh, my favorite levels are:

Congo Jungle (N64)-best looking level in the game IMO
Hyrule Temple-love battling it out underneath the castle for massive damage
Pokemon Stadium-love the morphing aspect
Princess Peach's Castle-great for air battling
Corneria-very balanced and a good stage for serious battling
Onett-music rocks, and it's fun to play with new players b/c of the cars
Final Destination-LOVE the changing background and simplistic design

Yeah, I'm really hoping for at least one giant Hyrule Temple type stage.

The chaos of small stages is fun, but I really like the prolonged and heated battles that you can get on the big stages like that.

Also Wario has a shadow in that pic. The light sources in the levels are probably wonky, hence shadows are all over the place.

Mine are Great Bay (it has awesome music :D )
Which one?
I love the music "big blue" coming from F-Zero, the level associated with it isn't bad.
But my favorite is Donkey Kong Country stage, the music is awesome.
Talking about music, the Fire Emblem theme is awesome too but too bad, there isn't a Fire Emblem Level. Hope that they will not reproduce this mistake in SSBB :D

What's everyone's favorite levels from Melee?
Fountain of Dreams
Big Blue*
Mute City
Pokemon Stadium
Final Destination
N64 Kirby's Dreamland
Onett with Pollyanna music*
Corneria*
Hyrule Temple*
Rainbow Cruise*
Poke Floats*

I wouldn't play in the starred ones in serious competition, but I do like them. Big Blue is probably my favorite stage of all as far as just messing around goes.
And Mute City would probably be my favorite serious stage if only you could grab onto the ledge of the moving platform. I do enjoy the places with moving environments... Icicle Mountain's the only one that doesn't do it for me; I like that the scrolling pace changes, but it's not enough to offset the backgrounds all basically being the same.

My favourite stage is Dreamland 64. I still say it's a better stage for YLink than Fountain of Dreams... Although I just hate Fountain of Dreams. Those stupid platforms that move up and down screw me up every time.

Jiggy, Rainbow Cruise and Poke Floats are allowed in competitive play ;)

Fountain of Dreams might be my favorite stage. And it's also a huge asset to my Samus.
