Smash my Xbox

it's not the white box ass, it's the fact that he took peoples money (who are even more retarded for donating) to buy an xbox (which also has quite the shortage) and destroy it for his gain, whilst he could even have done something better with the money, charity etc, it makes me sick

That's a good point, but I think the label "social experiment" fits here. What's worse, the fact that this man raised $430 to buy a brand new system only to quickly destroy it, or the fact that many people were willing to toss a few dollars his way for him to accomplish this? It's like a carnival freak show--the person running the show might be greedy and exploiting unfortunate people for his personal gain, but at the same time he's evidently got customers willing to pay for tickets to see such exploitation.

I totally agree, it would be better for video game fans to donate their money to some charity like Child's Play, so that it could accomplish something beneficial for society. At the same time, people are free to do whatever they want with their money, so if seeing video game systems being demolished is what gives them their kicks, then so be it.

It also hurts Microsoft, as they lose on any system, but do so in sacrifice of increasing their userbase to make money on software. But... then again, I don't have much sympathy for them either after the Core Pack garbage. I definitely believe they did that with the $440 in mind.

HAHAHa , those kid's have spirit... Funny seying the expression on those guy's faces :D haha NIce!!! , just can't beleave what I saw ..

What.

Seriously, it amazes me how some people don't seem to understand why others would find the act in question a stupid one. Some of you guys are fucking retards.

Me personally, I don't care very much for the whole thing, as in I don't find it super-entertaining, though I don't really care enough to say "hey that's not cool". Eh.

They make money on games, you can not buy games for a broken system.

Of course, but I don't see people running en-masse into the streets and smashing up Xbox 360s. This isn't hurting Microsoft.

For that matter, who the heck cares what these guys did to it. It's not like the people who donated were robbed at gunpoint to hand over a few dollars for this terrible act. The donaters knew full well what they were doing and this wasn't some bait and switch. Guy said he would smash a 360, and he did. Simple as that.

English. Learn it or fuck off.

What a waste, that system could have made some kid happy on Christmas morning, but instead they wasted it. Better yet they could have donated it to something worth while like Child's Play.

Thank you for the all people stating that it could have been put to better use, the money/time could have been put to better use. I think they intended for the console/fanboys to be humiliated but in turn they've just embarrased themselves, I think I did end up laughing in that vid, but not because of them smashing/wasting money on an Xbox 360 but the fact that these nerds queue up amongst others only to get it and smash it in front of anyone, looking like MAJOR assholes, that hi-five at the end had me laughing so hard, the guy looked like a fuckin' moron. That's what it's all about, I think they should change it from, smashmy-blahblah to nerdssmashingupshit.

I'm not changing my statement on this, I think it's wrong, I think whoever was involved with it is wrong, but I can't stop that, whoever has a problem with my thinking this way can stand up to me as much as you like, I'm not an Xbox fanboy, it's just my opinion and don't think you can change it.

The donators are just as in the wrong too, I'm sure a couple of bucks wouldn't go afloat but some donated in the range of 100 bucks all together on all three websites, Mandi for instance. They have a right to do whatever they want with their earnings providing I don't know what they do with their other money but as it stands now, I'm appalled by what I see here.

Oh well, but it's funny right? Some nerd smashing an Xbox 360 with a sledgehammer, is really really funny. So it's worth it right? Pitiful. Especially after watching that video. They made such a big deal out of it and in the end, it wasn't nothing. A huge let down I bet for all those waiting to see fanboys cry. Let's hope the donators really enjoyed that 2 minute clip.
