I've been "smoking" since I was sixteen (24 now btw), but have never been addicting

What I mean by smoking is, I never buy them, only have them at socials gatherings (parties, smoke breaks with coworkers), and tend to only smoke 1 or 2 in an average of a month or 2...when I do start to smoke more than that, I grow an immediate distaste and just cease right there

...i've just never became addicted to them....anyone else have this sort of behavior going on....guess its social smoking?

I do tend to side with smokers as I feel they get too much hate when there alot other vices/addictions out there that are till socially tolerable

...Like I tend to dislike drunks are people who only feel like they're truly having a good time when they're drunk

I've been smoking almost a year now. I know I need to stop, but it's always "later, later, later". It gives me an excuse to go outside by myself and have some time to think things over. It gives me something to do, it gives me purpose... I know it's insane, but I can't stop. I'll try to, even stop for a week, but then I'll have a smoke when I go out for a drink and the whole cycle starts over. It's just too convenient, too hip, too.... argh.

I couldn't get into smoking, though my mom has been a heavy smoker since she was about 12. My BF hasn't ever been addicted to cigs but in his past workplaces he'd smoke to get smoke breaks and sometimes he'll occasionally have one when he's stressed or drinking at social events. But he's never had a problem with the addiction.. however soda.. now he seems to have a bad addiction to that as he's been going through withdrawl from not having any soda for a week. go figure.

I used to smoke mostly during my army service but quitted due to my GF who hated it, when looking back I do not regret, it was fun and I still miss it a bit, but oh boy, so much extra cash after not buying them packs. Awesome.

Dude, the going outside to think thing... I can totally understand that part of it!

Its just being alone while you smoke, the non-smokers don't come with you... unless I am with my girl I would rather put in my headphones and ignore the world while I smoke
