After my 8/25 order from Walmart was in flux forever, I finally FINALLY received it. Wow, still in shock. Nary a scratch on it as well.

Sorry man, but you're going to have a tough time getting the cards for MSRP difference, when the main idea of getting the Amazon JP exclusive one was to get the postcards. Those were the first ones to go when they went up.

My order of sfc mini just shipped too and will be delivered by friday... but i still want the american version, why amazon fuck up this so bad??....
There was a 3rd Amazon listing for the SFC and postcards for 8618JPY (7980JPY before Japan sales tax). I don't believe it was restocked today.
So I've been playing the euro SNES I got from Amazon UK today but my Amazon US order is trapped in pre-order purgatory. Sadly, the US SNES has all the nostalgia for me. I'll have a tough first-world decision to face in a few weeks when I assume my US model will finally arrive. Do I switch to the US model or just stick with the euro version that has all my save games? Hmm...

I work in Saudi Arabia ( not from there ) and the local stores all have them . I just went to a store and grabbed a US version of the system. Some stores also have the Japanese version but I don't like the Japanese / UK look of the system and I find the US more unique ( happens that u also have the original from US as well ) and I don't know Japanese language to play the game .
But the price I think it's Abit expensive here. Around 120$. Considering the import fees from out side plus the price of the console I think it's very reasonable price

From the videos i have seen i couldn't see a language boot up screen like the western one so it's probably just in Japanese.

i ordered a PAL unit and have a US preorder. i'm tempted to finish the set but the Euro and JP versions look the same so i'm not too convinced yet.

Not 100% the same. The logos are different (and the games and the box of course). But yeah, I thought about it too but then dropped the JP one.

It's pretty shitty UK retailers allowed orders outside the UK in the first place. Can't say I have much sympathy for those orders that fell through.
Did it not apply the other way round too? USA retailers allowed to ship abroad? Japan retailers shipping abroad?
Also, why are some people buying 3 versions of the SNES classic?

DHL says it was returned at sellers request. Amazon says shipper returned it.

I'm from the UK and I want one because I have the Super Famicom Mini and I'd like a US one with the different design along with the different games.
Although I was contemplating buying the Japanese version, the lack of Earthbound was just too much for me to bear. I've never played the game but heard so much about it, and it was never available in Europe.
So I ended up phoning my dad back home today and having him pick up the European version, which they had in abundance at a local retailer. He's sending it this week.

I missed out on the Amazon Japan pre-order and figured I wouldn't be able to get one. Was at the mall today around 1PM in the afternoon and strolled into Toys R Us for something completely different. Was surprised to see this there. They had lots of tickets left too. The controller is so much better than the one on the Famicom mini. Real sized, removable unlike the hardwired ones on the Famicom and bit longer cable.
Yeah, this. I live in the UK and had orders cancelled by three different vendors, while others were so swamped I couldn't get anything in my cart before the preorders were already sold out. Meanwhile there's people here with multiple UK preorders shipping to Canada and the US and wherever the hell. Thanks guys
