End corporate welfare: Check
Legalize drugs: Check
Gun ownership cool: Check
Opt-out of social security: Check
Cut taxes: Check
Anti-censorship: Check
End foreign aid: Maybe not all aid, but drastic reduction = check
Protect victims rights, right to self-defence: Check
Open immigration: Eh..I need some convincing on this one
Environment: Abolishing 'sovereign immunity' ok, private ownership vs government protection I'm not so sure about
I'm also not very informed on Lib stances on education etc. For the most part though, my views fall largely in line with that of the Libertarian party. Considering my general disgust for the 2 entrenched traditional parties, I figure that any alternative will immediately seem appealing, and the Libertarian party seems to cater more to my principles than the Green Party (their whole feminist angle really put the scare in me).
So should I take the plunge? While I'm not much for free time, I really would like to do as much as I could to support political alternatives in this country, and I think I'm skilled enough to possibly offer something beyond simple party dues or volunteer work. Any Libbys here at GA with any insight into the party?
