I'm looking at the years on them and I see that they've been started since I was in high school. I'm guessing it was that personal finance class where we had to put in a set amount of money to invest and transfer to savings bonds so that we could see what a bond actually looked like. Parents must've forced me to put two months of my paychecks into that account. Then the class ended and I forgot about it. I was glad I didn't have to 'throw away' anymore of my money.
Now I get sent over $4000 in bonds. Man I could kiss them. And as soon as they stop going through the "I told you so" phase I will with a Mother's/Father's day outing.
When the past comes back and demands a high five, well damn it, you reciprocate.
