I feel stupid cause I stared at this for a good minute and wondered how it cleared up the brown liquid.

I had a habit of doing this exact issue with soda T_T. Spilled soda on keyboard repeatedly over the years.

At work, one of my coworkers accidentally spilled a cup of water on his laptop... and unfortunately the extended warranty didn't cover spills :/

I spilled the best part of a pint of milk all over my old MacBook Pro. Incredibly it continued to work normally, but the experience scared the shit out of me so I'm a lot more careful these days.

I dropped a full bowl of cereal face down on my Macbook Pro's keyboard and it kept on chugging. It was a little crunchy after that though.

You got off lightly my friend i would disconnecte the usb ports that are dead from the motherboard since they still receive power open the case to double check if everythings good you should be fine.

Don't do this for motherboards. If someone finds themselves in this situation, just take apart all the computers components, individually dry them, clear up any dry spots left by the liquid with alcohol asap.
