So, now what games are you hyped for? (2005 and Beyond)

All the big releases have pretty much done for the year. What games are you anticipating for the future?

For me, its gonna be:

Console - Zelda, RE4, and Wanda as of now.

PC is tougher, but I guess F.E.A.R., STALKER, and Bioshock are things to look for. And of course, I'm sure there will be expansions for both Doom 3 and Half Life 2 as well.

We had a thread like this before, I think.

I'm looking to WANDA, OMG REALISTIC Zelda, Wario Ware (DS/GBA) and Fire Emblem (GBA/GC).

Also, God of War, Devil May Cry 3 and Gran Turismo 4.

For consoles-handhelds.

GameCube: Star Fox Assault, Geist, The Legend of Zelda, Advance Wars: Under Fire, Fire Emblem, Resident Evil 4,

GBA: Wario Ware Twist, Yoshi's Universal Gravitation, Fire Emblem 2

NDS: Ermm. Puppy Times and Jam With The Band.

PS2: FFXII , DW8, PS2 has the best 2004 though.

XBOX: ??????????///

Advance Wars DS
Mario Kart DS
Viewtiful Joe DS
Animal Crossing DS

DK:JB

Mario Tennis GBA
DKC3 (Played some of it after the fact, never got to finish it, was fun)

MGS3 & Ace Combat 5 (euro)
Wanda
Zelda
Devil May Cry 3
Bioshock
Day of Defeat Source

Those are pretty much must buys. I'm also particularly interested in Geist, and the offerings of the DS (euro), PSP and Xbox2.

I'm looking forward to discovering some games I missed when I'll get my PS2 next month (Mostly Sega games like Initial D, but also Ico and a few others). On Xbox I'm looking forward to Conker, especially after playing the demo, Forza and Jade Empire (even if I'm not usually into RPGs). On NGC, well ... Zelda.
I'm mostly looking forward to Xbox 2 games, especially the next Bizarre racing game.

#1. The new Zelda for Cube

others, no order:
Dragon Quest/Warrior VIII
Final Fantasy XII
Conker
Resident Evil 4
Devil May Cry 3
Starfox Assualt
Splinter Cell 3
Half-Life 2 (Xbox, since I have a weak PC)
Dragon Quest/Warrior VIII
Final Fantasy XII

Most of all, Final Fantasy XII. Not that I'm a particularly big fan of the series, but it feels like FFXII could turn out exceptional and refreshing.

Other games I truly look forward to are Wanda and the Zelda for GC.

Here's my original response from the other thread:

Interestingly enough, this thread on The Next Level asked a similar question, but limited people to choosing five. Here was my response:

1. TimeSplitters: Future Perfect--TimeSplitters 2 was my favorite first-person shooter on this generation of video game systems, and this game looks like it's really going to kick it up a notch.
2. Rise of the Kasai--it's the follow-up to The Mark of Kri, which I enjoyed.
3. Champions: Return to Arms--it's the follow-up to Champions of Norrath, and looks like it'll have more depth (and supposedly a much better interface for online play).
4. Wanda and the Colossus--it's done by the same team as Ico, and that was just such a beautiful game that I can't wait to see what they do next.
5. Unity--it's being developed by the very talented Jeff Minter, and is the only remaining reason why I am even considering getting a GameCube at this point (since most of that system's other really good games are being ported to PS2).

Later, I remembered that Enthusia is also coming in 2005, so that's another one I'd like to try. God of War is another promising game that looks really good.

I'd also like to try the PSP games Darkstalkers Chronicle, Gran Turismo 4 Mobile, Lumines, and Mercury.

The response now would be pretty similar, but with the PS2 version of Gran Turismo 4 being delayed into 2005, that would surely have to be added to my "most wanted" list.

The game I am most anticipating on each of the systems I currently own:

PS2: Gran Turismo 4
XBOX: Forza
GC: Zelda
PC: Elder Scrolls 3: Oblivion

I'll do what Arcticfox did:

PS2: Suikoden IV (which comes out early January), and then Final Fantasy XII.

PC: Elder Scolls: Oblivion, Guild Wars

GCN: RE4, New Zelda.

Hmm...

Ys VI

Resident Evil 4

Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat

And a bunch of stuff I don't know about yet. Hell, most games I get I only discover a week or so prior.

I really hope there are more games out there that turn out to be amazing that aren't already established franchises. Suprises are great.
