So, question about GBA games on ebay.

First tragedy, then farce.
If I find a game for 5 bucks that costs 25 used at gamestop and it ships from Hong Kong, would I be right in assuming that it is not legit? I really would like to get some of these games, but dont want pirated shit.. I mean, ebay would stop it if the games were pirated right?

ebay doesnt do jack shit about gba piracy, unfortunately

tip: never buy GBA games on Ebay unless you can get the auctioner to provide pics of the game cartridge to show it's legit

Unless it's an auction from the US/Canada and the seller shows an actual pic of the game they're selling, instead of just a scan of ther boxart, stay away.

I learned this the hard way when I bought Zelda LttP/Four Swords for $12 a few years ago. 3 weeks after I paid for the auction I got a yellow bubble envelope with a GBA cart that had a faded Zelda sticker and a photocopied cardboard box. The damn thing wouldn't fit the GBA properly either.

I picked up the majority of my 70 or so GBA titles on Half.com, which I think is much better than eBay since you don't have to deal with sellers on a power trip and their overzealous rules and shipping charges. All the rules and shipping charges are pre-set. And if you don't like the price of something, just put it on your wish list and wait it out.
