So TGS is this weekend!!!!

MGS 4 and Rogue Galaxy. That's all that matter. MGS 4 more so than Rogue Galaxy because we've already seen Rogue Galaxy. Still, it's playable so I am looking forward to impressions. Damn, I can't wait for that MGS 4 trailer.

Since Konami is one of the biggest proponents of Playstation hardware, I hope the video shows in-game real time gameplay so we can assess exactly what a high-end (gameplay) PS3 game looks like. I'm sure everyone is curious about what the next-generation of that series will be like when you're actually playing, and what new gameplay elements will be added. I have no plans to get a PS3, I hate stealth games, but I definitely want to see Metal Gear Solid 4.

Well, all trailers used to present an MGS title to the public for the first time focus on gameplay visuals and scenarios. Only as the game nears completion do the trailers start to focus more on the actual storyline.

MGS3's original trailer revealed absolutely nothing and MGS2's didn't do a whole lot as well. They both were used to demonstrate a lot of the ideas they were working on at the time and show them in action in a very cinematic fashion.

I'm hoping this will be the same deal.

Thinking of that crazy TXB comment, do you really think Kojima would ever allow a game looking like this...

...to be released?

Everyone use this avatar to embrace the MGS4-PS3-TGS goodness!! :D :D :D
done :)

You guys are defeating the purpose of an avatar. I can't easily tell who made the post now. I have to actually READ!

Time to block the image in Firefox! :lol

I hope to see a new Gran Turismo 5 video, the real deal, just a fully modelled PS3 car driving round a PS3 modeled Spa francorchamps...

where's that come gif? :lol

Oh and of course MGS4. :D

I will be there. Given that this is going my first coverage that doen´t include "real time" coverage for online mags, I highly doubt I will connect to internet (however there is an incredible cyber in Shibuya at the HMV building and I may pass some hours there for leisure, maybe I will write something, but I think it would be worthless given my english writing skills).

There is too much potential for this TGS. Even if I thought next generation stuff could be a big letdown, that I don´t, there is a ton of games from this gen I want to see (Rogue Galaxy, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Devil Summoner and some handheld action as well...). Just for that I´m sure this will be worth.

There are only 3 next-gen (with good graphics) trailers that could overshadow MGS4.

-Mario
-Zelda
-Halo
Certainly not the trailers...

There have never been trailers in those series anywhere NEAR the quality of Metal Gear Solid's.

While the trailers would almost certainly not be as good, if the trailers demonstrated anything substantial, I think the pure fanboy hype they'd generate would overshadow anything Kojima could produce. Kojima's trailers, however, are works of art.

yep.

it was over 700k before the $19.99 drop so it did ok. not to mention it'sold over 3.5 million world wide.

My wallet is either going to thank me or curse my name after this show. It's going to be the show where I decide I'm getting an X360 or waiting for PS3.

I don't see how you could go wrong with the Xbox 360 or PS3, so long as you buy according to your own personal taste.

i think x05 would be better to judge x360 on. I am just hoping for some sort of shenmue 3 announcement.

Seems really unlikely at this point. Do you really think Sega would have been willing to shell out for boyh Ryuu ga Gotoku AND Shenmue III?

I'm getting both but given how they'll probably be $400 each, I'm getting one right away and another one after the price drop.

X05? I haven't followed X360 news very closely so I have no idea when it is. If PGR3, DW5S, and RR6 are excellent, then I'm sold.
