I don't usually celebrate Halloween but if i did, i'd do wearing this:

Possibly with a turtleneck sweater underneath, comedy boxer shorts, a martini glass in one hand and a novelty cigar in the other to add a touch of class.
 
Always think American Halloween is strange you guys just dress you as anything, where as in the UK we do it right and dress up scary (witches, vampires, zombie, ghosts, ect.)

Halloween has the girls dress up as very slutty in London. Playboy bunnies, stripers, slutty nuns all sorts. I like it.
 
My daughter's going to be a mermaid, and my wife will be a pirate captain, so I'm going as a drowned sailor. Still figuring the costume out.
 
my girlfriend and i are going as margot and richie tenenbaum. couple costumes, puke puke puke. don't know why i agreed.

I purchased a mask from Ebay for 20 bucks (http://i.imgur.com/RXJGb.jpg), a brunette wig to go with the mask, borrowed an orange prison jump suit from a friend, will paint/powder my hand/arms/neck white, a baby girl doll which I will bloody up and have intestines hanging from her stomach that I'll hang from a baby sash around my body, and a cardboard sign saying something about "Have you seen my baby"/"Caylee Anthony Missing" with a picture of me in the costume with the doll on a swing or something.

This isn't my idea, I lost a bet :P

but due to losing a bet last week regarding the Steelers/Texans game where the winner dictates the losers costume... I have to go in a different direction for my main costume.

I knew my friend was a douchebag so I was expecting the worst, but I didn't think he'd choose something as tasteless as Casey Anthony. We've already purchased a Casey Anthony latex mask from Ebay for 25 bucks(http://www.ebay.com/itm/CASEY-ANTHON...#ht_500wt_1202). He wants me to wear the latex mask, do it in whiteface/paint my skin white since I'm brown skinned, wear a prison jump suit, have a baby sling with a bloodied baby doll in it and hold a cardboard sign saying "Have you seen my child?"

I'm not looking forward to this, especially considering Santa Cruz has a huge anti-abortion group that physically protests the planned parenthood next to me, especially on Halloween for some reason. We're also going to a few Halloween parties on Halloween weekend, so I'm probably not going to be all that popular lol....

Was talking with a friend and I've done this before for fancy dress and it was a massive hit. He said to do it again, but I'm not so sure. He is going as a pirate.

This year I have talked about going out with friends but the details aren't down yet. Subbing to this thread to see if here are great ideas.

Edit: where can I get a fucking good Chief costume?

I've seen/done worse. Two years ago I went as the Yale animal room employee who stuffed that grad student in the wall. :/
 
My girlfriend is going as Marilyn Monroe so, naturally, I am going as playwright Arthur Miller. I generally hate halloween parties and dressing up, so going as a completely mundane historical person is just my way of silently protesting, while still getting drunk with all my friends and not having to wash off makeup later.

Oh, and pssh, at the people judging Casey Anthony guy. Get thicker skin.

every year i want to do something awesome for halloween but then i realize im too lazy and i dont wanna spend money on a costume

so probably nothing again this year
 
I'm off to an alt club up London straight from work and I'll be going as a Splicer from BioShock (found an old venetian mask and bunny ears during a clean out recently). I can imagine the looks I get going through the DLR and the Tube to be most entertaining.

It's pretty easy to pull something decent off for $20 or less. For example, I have two friends going as Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy which they pulled off by going to thrift and Halloween stores for roughly that amount.
 
I want to be Charlie Chaplin and walk around like him in Times Square but it's on a Monday which sucks. I still have to go to work so I'd have to change clothes before leaving work, put on the make up etc. all of that. I wish it wasn't on a weekday or I had a job that allowed costumes.
