So...when does a girl friend become a girlfriend?

So asking a girl if I'll make a good future husband right off the bat is actually a no-no?

Here's a tip: girls are waiting for you to define it. Unless they are totally warped or have other outstanding problems they grow quietly frustrated until you finally drop that gem in conversation with other people. It really is up to you to define it.

So can you have an unlabeled relationship that's still exclusive?
What jinx said is pretty much on the nose. It's pretty obvious when there's more than friend feelings involved. It's uh, kind of an awesome realization, as opposed to being like "so, we're boyfriend/girlfriend now, right?" or whatever-- it just kind of all makes sense. In my case it was more obvious because we had been friends for like six years.

Labels have no effect on monogomy. We're together, we're exclusive, etc, but we don't refer to each other as "my boyfriend" or "my girlfriend." It's more than that... And it's... sigh, I don't know. It's not that we don't do "boyfriend/girlfriend" things, because we do. But our relationship is hard to define 100% with what are "normal" labels.

Ahhhhh, fuck it.

eh, whatever. this thread uplifted my spirits tho.
