Or at least that's what I thought until I saw Colorado. Damn.
Maybe I should move...

Try 88?

Must... resist... Alberta... joke...

New Jersey is pretty awesome. We're rocking the gradient. Hells yeah!

Always hated the Jersey plate it looks like its muddy and needs to be washed :lol

One of the overlooked ones but one I have always loved for its simplicity is RI

The Colorado plate with the Rockies in the background is the best current plate. So much better than their older green plates too. Props to them.

As far as Texas plates go, the "State of the Arts" plate (procedes go to Texas arts charities) is the best:

I like all the college mascot/seals plates we have in Texas too.

To be fair, those hideous Kentucky license plates are outdated. The smiling one was designed by the governor's wife, to universal hatred. The new one's alright--I like the horse logo:

Here's the NEW general-purpose Texas License plate, BTW. It won a vote by a pretty large margin.

It's not bad, but I liked a couple of the other entries better. This one seems too "Wild West" to me, and isn't representative of the whole State. That "paintbrush" thing in the corner seems like really dated design, too.

I liked this one best, with the western mountain merged with the elements from various Texas cities' skylines, and the subtle state flag elements worked in, like the barely-there Lone Star and the color bar on the top...a great idea:

And I liked the idea of the Bluebonnets, too, but the photo doesn't read very well:

I don't know if I like the new Utah ones or not. I get that they're going for both the desert theme up top and the skiing on the bottom, but they should have just offered two alternate plates. This would look really nice if it was just the skier.

Eh, I like this one better than the old ones. If I'm forced to give up my stock California plate soon, I'll probably go with this plate, or the Utah State one with the big A on the left

The new Wyoming one is okay. The old one had Devil's Tower too, but it looked ugly.

Montana has like 80,000 different plates; I see a new one all the time.

Yeah we do. I hate it. There is a standard default one that most use though.

edit: here it is

Really? None of those are as good as the current ones.

The new Oklahoma ones are MUCH better than the old.
OLD:

NEW:

But regardless of your political views, this one is TURRIBLE:

On another note, it sucks to see that they're changing the Texas plate design. The old one was perfect. The new one looks tacky as hell.

lol wow.

I've seen some bad ones in north georgia too. Right before the election last year I saw this dude with a new explorer and on the back he had:

Freedom vs Socialism[/B]

The dude had it lettered up on the back of his rear window and I tried to chase him down and take a pic with my camera but not surprisingly the motherfucker drove fast as shit.
