I think I'm about to go out and get Saw when I get off of work. Anyone else pick up anything good that I may be missing today? I never saw Saw :lol in theaters, so i hope it's worth the $15.99. Holla back.

Nothing this week, but next Tuesday I'll be picking up

I loved The Motorcycle Diaries in the theater, but I'll wait until I can get a used copy at Blockbuster.

I heard it sucks though. From people in real life.

One of my friends said it just explained a little too much.
I got the movie in the first place, do I really need it to shove it in my face?

...or is there more character development that would make it worth it? Cause I already own the first one.

I haven't watched it yet, but I bought it for the special features anyway. It's also a 2-disc set that was only 16 dollars at Best Buy. Anyway, here's what is on the discs:

-New commentary w/ Richard Kelly and Kevin Smith
-Production diary w/ commentary
-"They Made Me Do It Too" - The Cult of Donnie Darko (mostly fan reaction)
-Storyboards
-A semi-funny feature on a Donnie Darko zealot
-Random bits: trailers, etc.

Supposedly the film has cleaned up effects shots, too.

Ask me next Tuesday. I'm so screwed... it's going to be so hard to fit in all the things I want to get on Tuesday.

I <3 Huckabees, Nausicaa.. is Nausicaa worth getting on Disney DVD, btw? I know they fucked Totoro.. also, I'm looking at some other stuff.

...but I don't encourage anyone to follow my lead.

Hahahahaha, what the hell. I'll encourage my room mate to buy it so I won't have to.

Nausicaa is totally worth getting, as is Porco Rosso. Other than delaying their release of Totoro and replacing it with The Cat Returns, how else has Disney "fucked" it? The existing Totoro DVD is from Fox as they still held the rights to it up until 2003.

was planning to get Bambi on Monday but forgot. It'll wait until the weekend. Then the Incredibles next.

Snagged Angel S5 early Tuesday morning at Wal-Mart. Was utterly disgusted by the rampant amount of people purchasing Taxi at 1 AM.

Saving (and by that, I mean eating nothing but ramen) for Nausicaa next week, maybe grab the other two, depends on how much I have.

No...it's great!
I had seen the original around 5 times before I saw the DC, and it gave me the same feeling that I got when I saw the original for the first time.

It has alot more character development (mostly in the family) and explains more of Donnies condition, which I found nice.

It some times gives you too much information, stealing away A LITTLE of the post movie mind workout, but it's still a great film. I actually think it's much more complete than the original. I don't see myself going back.

I've seen the DC around 3 times now, too.

I picked up DD:DC and also picked up Tae Guk Gi: Brotherhood of War...it is absolutely brilliant. Most emotional movie I have ever seen.

Incredible.
