Came out over a month ago, but I nabbed a copy recently. Really hard to find. Anyway, I'm loving this show (all over again). I'm picking up some humor that I missed out on when I was younger (like the Bus Driver Stu bits). It's also interesting to see the show evolve into what it became in the later two seasons.

Also, the show had quite a bit of guest actors...

Interesting to see President Logan (from 24) in the first episode, "King of the Road," and Mike Novick in "Tool and Die."

Got them the day they came out. I have always loved this show. It's my favorite kid's show, ever. A few years ago I downloaded a whole bunch of episodes and was pretty surprised the show held up extremely well. My favorite episode on this set is probably When Pete's Collide. Although Apocalypse Pete and Rangeboy are very close. My favorite of the entire series is probably Field of Pete, but I haven't seen all the episodes recently.

It's a bummer this series wasn't treated better on DVD, but I'm glad just to have it.

Steve Buscemi was Ellens father. Wasnt in these episodes, but Adam West was the Prinicpal of little pete's school.

I bought it the first day as well. Hunter S. Thompson appears on New Year's Pete, though just briefly. And Iggy Pop was a father of one of the kids (Mona?). Great show, has held up really well.

It is not Hunter S Thompson. I've watched that episode numerous times, he appears nowhere. Apparantly it is some other guy named Hunter Thompson.

I remember the good ol' days when I could sit down for a chunk of time and watch Pete and Pete, Salute your shorts, all those old quality Nickolodoen shows...

It's watchable, but Day of the Dot gets it the worst. It has a line going through the top of the screen, about eyeline, for about 5 minutes total.

Look at Border's if you have one for it, that's the only place I could find it.

Also, the Pete and Pete website backs up the statement that Hunter S. Thompson was the man blowing the horn, but I couldn't locate any pictures. Also, Michael Stipe, Janeane Garafalo, Debbie Harry, and LL Cool J were on the show.

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.

I have a feeling it's finally gonna come. No way they release Pete and Clarissa and NOT Salute Your Shorts.

if you're going to places like best buy to look for this, dont forget to check int eh family/kids section. My best buy had it there rather than in TV sets area.

Michael Stipe was in one of the episodes. Ellen Cleghorn is there too as Bus Driver Stu's girlfriend.

And there's the one old guy from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation in the episode with Rolling Thunder. I love that whole sequence where Artie fights the bowling ball:

Artie: You know what I’ve come for, Grandpappy. The ball! The ball! Out with it, old man!
Grandpa Wrigley: You'll be sorry.
*Artie and Rolling Thunder fight for hours*

*Rolling Thunder wins*
Grandpa Wrigley: Foolish man. Brave, but foolish.

My Brother and me....

that takes me back. I used to recite the lines from that show verbatim

-
Melanie:Goo, you're all that.
Goo:I know baby, and so's my Goo punch
-

Donnel: Don't hold your BREATH!

-

Dionne: Alphie, how do you sky so high?
Alphie: With these..

*VOICE OVER: SPACE ALPHIES*

On a somewhat more related note, I'm really surprised P&P beat Salute your shorts to DVD.

I probably shouldn't be

When's season 2 come out? Halloweenie was season 2 right?

Edit: I didn't even realise this until the other day when I watching it with my pa on father's day, but Endless Mike was in Band of Brothers, and Sin City.

Yeah, Endless Mike seemed to have the most success after the show. That is, unless you consider Danny Tamborelli's career afterwards successful.

I don't think a second season is planned. They were waiting on how these DVDs would do before going on with more.

Don't forget Michelle Trachtenberg.
