Well, being that Socom 3 is a little over 2 weeks away, I wanted to start a new thread for it. This year I am hoping for a few more GAFers to join. So if you are interested post here with the screen name you will be using and what kind of cable connection you have for hosting purposes and the times you can play.

:lol It's been a while.

Connection: Verizon DSL(I can't host big matches)
Availability: Weds I can't play at all, but I should be good from 6pm Pacific -> whenever on most days.

SOCOM 3 supports 32 clan members IIRC.

I am definately in, although my current clan will not be very happy about it, but screw them.

I'm going with the name Mitsuda (or Mitsuda13 if it's taken)

If anyone is up for a reunion night to prep your skills, I'm up for it.



EDIT: College campus, so we have a T1 line, but everyone is on it, making me a bad host before like 3 am. lol

The 9.0 at IGN and the $38.88 sale at Target have persuaded me to pick up SOCOM 3, probably this Friday. I'm not sure what my username will be but I'll let you guys know.
 
I was planning to wait for awhile to see if online multiplayer is stabe or not. But with Target having selling it for 38.88 and I can get BB to pricematch it + Mcdonalds buck + giftcard + getting a WS HDTV this week, I can't help it :(.

just picked up my copy and Ill probably get logged in to make sure I can get my name. not sure if Ill be playing before the Astros game is over but I should at least be signed up by tonight.
 
tenchir is your account verified already? I tried adding someone from this thread to my friends list and it said that player doesnt exist yet so I dont want to try to add until I know your name already exists.

mine is hgplayer1. looks like Ill at least get a few games in tonight.
 
anyone planning on playing tonight? Im gonna mess around on GT4 a bit then I should be on most of the night as long as nothing comes up.
 
Thanks Gunstar, I'll accept it when I get to school on Tuesday, I'll probably be on all day and night Tuesday. If anyone can, jump on and play a little with me so I can learn these maps. See you guys in a couple days.
 
wow i just played the worst games of SOCOM ever. I went 1-15 over the course of two games. I think part of it was because that was the first time I have played those two maps but I also couldnt kill anyone when I had the chance. not sure what was going on but I want to apologize to the other GAF members that were in those games. oh and I had 1 suicide and 1 team kill to go along with it.
 
I'm gonna be playing for a bit if anyone cares to join. I left early last night because I was stuck with a shotgun and my mic wasn't working.
 
So does this game have a friends list so I can hook up with the GAF clan at times? I rented it for a bit here and would like to play with some people I kinda know.

Do you all still have and use a mic?

theres a friends list and we also have the clan set up so you could join the clan list and play with GAF people only. I havent played in a few days with GAF folks. if I can get some laundry done soon Ill be on tonight maybe after the Astros game.
 
Cool. I'm gone until Wednesday now. But I'll try to get online for some Socom when I get home. I haven't played it since the first game.
 
Just got re-socom'd after a long time, name on there is "B00key" (with zeros) if you can hook me up with an invite

LagunaX reporting for duty! I gotta warn ya though, I really suck at the moment. I need to familiarize myself with these extremely large maps.
 
Ok guys, I been really busy lately but I will send out the invites tonight. Also I plan on playing tonight for a long time. I am looking to be on around 8 pm est and playing for many hours. I hope everyone tries to show up!

Me too, I haven't learned these maps at all.
 
Sooo... seems Zipper hasn't fixed their problems yet, as I'm still having problems getting on, and mic issues. I talked with the internet representatives of the college I attend, and they told me their is no possible way they could be causing these problems, but everyone else around the world is having no problems with Socom 3... I'm starting to think I was fed some BS from the school... I'll try to get on tonight sometime.
 
Are any of you guys still playing Socom 3? I was in the GAF clan for Socom 2, but i only bought Socom 3 2 weeks ago because i previously had no broadband in my new apartment. I had to download a patch before i could play, but i haven't had any problems with glitches or my mic. I'm still learning the new maps, but it would be nice to meet up with the old Socom 2 group. I've noticed that some weapons (iw-80) and items (ghillie suit) are locked. It's annoying that you have to play through the offline game to unlock items for multiplayer games. I never finished the offline missions in Socom and Socom 2.
