TIME FOR THE NEW WORLD ORDER
Just in case you havent gotten online in the past couple days, the SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs International server went live at approximately 6:30am PST Monday, December 13th. Yes, that means the server is all ready to send you to other countries to play SOCOM II. Its like taking a trip without the hassle of planes or spending all that money on those lame souvenirs for friends and family! Initially, the server will allow international play with SOCOM II players in North America and Korea but will be expanded to include other countries in the future.
When North American SOCOM II players connect to SOCOM II Online, you will see the option for the standard SOCOM II North America server or the SOCOM II International server and now you can choose to play on either server. However, players must create a separate account on each server as the accounts and passwords are not shared between the two servers. That means that just because you might have an existing SOCOM II Online account on the SOCOM II North America server, players must create a new account for the SOCOM II International server. Accounts, names, stats, and all the rest cannot be transferred to the new server so players must create a new account on the SOCOM II International server (have I said it enough times for it to sink in yet?).
This is what you need to do in order to get onto the International server:
Sign online just like you normally would to play against your buddies in NYC, LA, Chicago, Toronto, or anywhere else in the U.S. or Canada. But instead of choosing the regular server from the menu, pick the International server instead. That first time you sign in, the server will prompt you to create an account complete with your game name, location, password, the whole bit. Again, remember that information cannot be transferred from your regular North America Server account. So get on the International server quick to make sure that you can secure your name (and lets play nice...dont try and steal other peoples names cuz thats just not cool).
From my experience, the Korean players are very good...so take your best shot and lets see which country can claim the next SOCOM II World Championship crown!
CHEERS!
Its USA vs. Korea again...
