Another new mechanic, this time taken from Ascension: banish.

Also, I am Groot!
Interesting. I wonder if they'll allow you to banish opponents creatures with a removal spell. That'd be crazy powerful so probably not.

They finally nerfed Zimus? Never thought it'd happen.
Isn't that a card from rise of the solborn? I swear I have a couple of copies already.
Am curious to see how the delay to the IOS rollout affects them. Does anyone have any figures for how much is played on IOS versus PC versus Android?
Yup, It is just an alternate art for an existing card.
Aureon (or anyone else), have you paid attention to the BQ meta lately? I just got a very late invite to the ForgeWatch Invitational, and I need to come up with a deck ASAP, but I've no idea what to run with.
I'm thinking of modifying Zwaxor's list from the WC qualifier since I've played a bit with it and it suits my style of play, but I'm sure it's far from ideal in the current meta (which I've unfortunately not paid close enough attention to lately).
Any suggestions?

The NT list in that video (also being run by Zwaxor) is pretty good against BQ, even though it actually loses in that video.
Yeah, I'll see which group I end up in first. If I end up in Caitiri's group I'll definitely run a couple of them.
You mean being run by Mappo? Zwaxor is running his BQ deck in that video.

This update does not change the current unintended functionality of Varnas Pact and Lyria returning cards that were banished, such as Xithian Direhound via Overload. We are working to fix the issue that is causing this problem, but it is related to the rules engine and is much more difficult than changing the way the cards themselves are built. We plan to have this fix in the next major release, but in the meantime, we have updated the card text on Varnas Pact and Lyria to reflect their current gameplay functionality.
Uh, nerfs to BQ coming on the 22th, plus new cards, also on the 22.
Uuuhm.
Yeah, I'll see which group I end up in first. If I end up in Caitiri's group I'll definitely run a couple of them.
The tournament has started! General stream here: http://www.twitch.tv/forgewatch
Brackets and decklists are being announced on twitter as the groups begin: https://twitter.com/ForgeAnnounce
My group (F) is starting in 3 hours (7 pm UTC).
Since I am just starting, any tips? Should I build up my cards by buying silver packs? And is there an benefit to playing more than 3 games a day? Like is there a daily reward after that?
This is currently the best resource for new players, and is actively being updated as well:

Also, spend your silver on boosters and make sure to win your daily ticket so you can draft (costs 7 tickets). Draft, unlike Arena in Hearthstone, lets you keep the cards you pick so it's a good way to acquire cards you need.
Wait, the 30 cards you pick in your draft? You can keep those afterwards? Dang, that is pretty sweet.

First draft and half of the choices I had to choose between poop and different kinds of poop. Urghhh...
Went 1 for 3.
What factions did you pick? Uterra/Nekrium (UN) is generally considered the best faction pair since set 3.
I've been struggling with draft myself since set 3 (had around 75% win rate pre-set 3), but I just went 3-1 and 4-0 with AN and AT, respectively. And I rarely do that well outside UN these days, so I'm not sure how that happened.
